We are driving from Jersey tonight thru and was wondering if all gas stations are up and running thru the 295 corridor. Jersey gas is hard to come by right now. Do you know how traffic is around the area as well.

We were very fortunate to not have a lot of devastation from the storm. I have not heard any reports of closed gas stations. However, if you are coming across the Delaware Memorial bridge and continuing on 95 you will not be in Delaware very long. If you are in dier need of gas you can exit on route 13 south and will find gas stations. But they aren't right off 95.

I don't think there are any gas stations immediately off any of the 95 exits until you get to the last 95 exit in Delaware. That is 896 north (University of Delaware exit). You can get off there and will see at least one gas station within 1/4 mile.

You may also consider taking 301 from Middletown Delaware across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge. 301 continues straight through to Richmond Virginia. It is the only route I will take south because of the horrendous traffic around Washington DC. The route is mostly without lights except around the outskirts of DC. South of that it is very rural straight through to Richmond. If you want to try the route you can take 95 south to 896 south (where you will find gas stations) to 301 south.

have a safe drive

I forgot to mention that if you continue straight through Delaware on 1-95 and exit in Elkton Md you will be able to see gas stations from the interstate and there are mutliple fast food places here as well. By far the most convenient exit after your cross the Del Mem Bridge. There is also a complete service center on 95 north of the UD exit. I forgot about that because clearly I never stop there.

Thank you so much! We are planning on leaving 12 midnight so hoping traffic will be lighter around DC
