Me Bad

Your tittle made me think you where asking if YOU could help Australians

My boyfriend is Australian and I spent some time there this summer (in Melbourne, Sydney and Adelaide mostly).

The biggest difference is that they eat lots of meat pies and fish n' chips. Those shops are on every corner!

Chicken parmagiana is served over french fries instead of pasta (no kidding! :p )

Traditional Aussie hamburgers are served with beets (which they call beetroot) and sometimes eggs! Blech! (They have this at every McDonalds!)

Famous Aussie dessert is Pavlova, which I'm sure you could find a recipe for online.

Generally their food is similar to ours, though.

:teeth:

We just got back from Australia & I can confirm they eat their hamburgers with Beetroot!! Who would have thought!! They call their shrimp Prawns, but they are shrimp essentially.... they also have something similar to a prawn, but it's called a Moreton Bay Bug, it was okay, it did seem similar to shrimp... Other than that, they ate a lot of food which was similar to ours but came from a different place... for instance Kangaroo Island Roasted Chicken, is chicken from Kangaroo Island... Same as Australian Crab Meat, same as ours, just different origin...

As already mentioned, their fries are called chips & fish N chips is a big seller over there....

I love Morton Bay bugs ! Also baramundi is a great fish (not sure on spelling) something easier you could cook is lamb. Also all of the lovely tropical fruits. Of course you could try and get ahold of some vegimite and put on a real outback tucker !

PS: apologies to the real aussies;) , I'm just an enthusiastic visitor.
