Anyone for the Western cruise 4/9/05???

Nope, no kids yet. I just got married in August which is where we went on our first Disney Cruise and we loved it so much that we rebooked onboard and we also booked a room for my parents. Its going to be a nice trip away from North Dakota.

Hope, as soon as this bug came in the house it went out. So far today no one is sick, DH was the last to get it yesterday. I am keeping my fingers crossed!

Still no documents yet! I can't believe we have not heard anything yet. I am probably the last one to get anything. We are staying overnight at the Sheraton near the airport the night before so I confirmed that today.

Can't wait! It was so cold today the wind was unbelievable

I love reading the trip reports and saying 1 more month and that will be me!

Hope and Kate- I hope your family is well soon and that no one else gets sick

Kate- You are not alone. No one in my group have received our docs either. I'm not sure what the hold up is since Disney said they were printed and mailed Friday. I keep waiting to hear from my TA that she received them, but no word yet. We booked through mouseears, if that make a difference. Also, I wanted to post a reply on the other board but didn't have the time last night but anyway my DH also has a plate (6 inches long), screws (6) and a few pins (3)in his ankel and has never had a problem with the metal detectors and he has no note.

I can't believe it's less than a month. We will be on that cruise before you know it. Where does time go?

Would that happen to be a 3 day wonder in august? I went on one last Aug. too, I'd have 2 go look @ the old calanders to rember when, i think it was about the 19th or something like that,yeah thats what it was! cant belive were going on another already! EEEEK!

They now make chewables - I swear by it - I am going to bring some on the cruise just in case -

Is anyone making a door sign? Have you made one yet? Anyone want to share what theirs looks like? I am going to be making one soon - Not very creative, so would love to see others to get an idea -

Nope. I was on the 4 day Wonder that left on August 15. It seems like it is going by so slow now though. I have 2 countdowns on my computer and they seem to go by so slowly.

I think my countdown clocks have quit We have had this cruise booked since April 2004. I didn't think April would ever get here. I don't know why March has to be so long. It is dragging on and on and we are only in the 2nd week!!!!!

Softball season has started here for my dd. That means March will start flying. We have 3 - 4 practices each week. I will need a vacation soon!

Yes, I made a door sign. No I am not creative either. It says, LET THE MAGIC BEGIN!! I have some disney clipart and our names on it. That is all. I am really not a creative person. I really wanted the sign on the door so my kids could find the room easier

No signs for our door, at least i dont think so, Bubles came in the mail today, didnt turn out as expected, they're VERY little bottles, .3 FlOz per bottle, a good buble or too from each, may end up returning them, more than likely actually

No Flu for me! I'm the healthy boy, the docs said so, I went 2 my oral surgen today, no more antibiotics 4 me! Went and opened up bank account and got my state ID today too. what fun, I really need 2 get my mom to buy me a passport, those prices are going up and I'm going to need one for my trip to france in 2006. oh well, got 2 go have fun all!

29 days! One month and we'll be sailing away!

I'm thinking about a door sign. I have a magnetic cartridge for my Xyron machine, but I have to carve out some time to complete a project.

I got my cruise documents today. That's nice. What I'm really waiting for now is our passports. If they don't get here by the first, I'll have to drive to PA and MD to reapply for our birth certificates since the ones we have are in the hands of the State Department (or whoever issues the passports).

Good morning all, Door magnets? That is DH's project. We don't have them made yet DH has been scanning Disney hangtags, birthday cards & coloring book pages to get an assortment. He is making them for all 6 cabins for our group. I hope it all works. Mom got her cocconut sented postcard, now she knows she is special. I get so excited enerytime a new person jpins our thread. But, everything about the cruise gets me excited Soon, Linda

I hadn't really thought about a door sign. I guess I should! Oldest DS might have some roaming privilages. It would be nice if he could find our room easily. Youngest DS says he wants a time machine that would make the time do by faster so we could go on the cruise. Sounds good to me! Hoping that work picks up a little so I can have some more money to go on the cruise with. Time seems to go by so slow. Hope it speeds up!!

KAren- thanks for the information about the metal in the ankle. It did not occur to me until one of our friends said something. I still haven't called to get the note, but it sounds like I may not need anyway!

I told family last night that one month from last night we will be having our first dinner on the MAgic!! Can't wait!

I think I am going to make some door sign for our doors. Someone on our last cruise made them last year and they were great!! Girls always knew where our room was! Hope I can be as imaginative as she was!

I just watched the cruise DVD! I cant belive its really that close, its making me soo sad that I'm not already there :'(

We called the company that we ordered the bubles from planning to return them, but they said it wasnt worth it for them to pay shipping, so they jsut gave us the $ back and told us 2 keep the bubbles! so free bubles for every1...one bubble per bottle

I cant wit any long, i need my dose of Disney NOW :'(

Today, I'm going gift basket shopping, maybe I'll look for bubbles. I was reading on the other board about gift baskets. I've been wanting to have one arranged for each child but it seemed as if I could buy the things in the basket much cheaper here and it wasn't worth the "surprise" factor just to have Shirley do it. Then I read she will accept shipments of stuff we send for the baskets. So, I'm going to call her for baskets with sand toys (they are too bulky to bring down IMHO) and beach tote, and I'll provide the other goodies like pj's, stickers, candy, binoculars, disposable underwater camers, etc.

On our first DC, I carried on items for my girls. I had stuffed animals, candy, all sorts of things. I carried it on......I hated doing that. I should have packed it in a suitcase. Remember, what you carry on you have to carry around until your room is ready. The only thing that I am carrying on this trip will be my cameras. I hated carrying all that stuff while trying to find a table at Topsiders. It was the one thing that I am changing on this cruise.
In other words, no gift baskets here unless they are delivered to the room

I really can't believe how close we are. I was telling my dd's this AM that I am going to be a little sad when the cruise finally gets here. I think this will be our last DC for awhile. DH wants to try another cruise line. I love the planning and anticipation of the upcoming cruise.

Well, just got done with another workout at curves. I have gone four times this week.

not much going on today, jsut to clarify then, final post until like a week prior to the cruise,

We will all be meetin at Deck 10 midship near the stack that faces the stage (above the Pizzeria) We will wear little green mickey heads (somewhere, most in our key holder lanyards)

Shopping today was a total bust. I went to the Disney store to look for neat things to get the kids but the summer jammies were 14.95 and the boys' jammies weren't out yet. Our Disney Store is so lame. I think the whole store could practically fit in my basement. On the way home, I stopped at the Home Deport to pick up my Alien Green Mickey paint chips.

I'm going to Disney Direct to get the pj's and see what other goodies they have.

4 weeks from today and we will be standing in line talking in person

I was looking at the Magic today in port and I can't believe that we will be there so soon.

I talked to my daughter's principal Friday. They have their SAT tests the week before we go. That means that we can't start driving down until after lunch on Friday. I guess we will be leaving around 1 or two and it is at least 600 miles. It will be a late night. Let's just hope the girls sleep in the van or it will be a miserable trip
