Anyone for the Western cruise 4/9/05???

Ok there are 4 in our group and my inlaws at 2 - So 72+4+2 is 78.

I haven't figured out how to do the PM - but for the person who posted about a 5 or 6 year old girl - my dd is 6 and would love to know of someone who would be on the ship at the same time.

My doc's have not arrived. We also did the romance add on thing and I have not had a call from disney around the dates for Palo and the Spa. I booked through a TA so I don't know if that makes a difference. Anyone have experience with this.

We booked the Romance at Sea package so we would not have to stand in line the first day. Our in laws are on their first cruise and don't do too many social things - grandma is in a wheelchair and in her 80's - grampa almost always wears a suit and tie-even when at home. It was a task to get him to buy some less casual clothing.

I guess we will stand out on the cruise for those DIS who read this thread.

Grandma in a wheelchair
Gramdpa feeling uncomfortable in casual clothes
Almost 3 year old stuck in the terrible 2's
A 6 year old who wants to do everything and knows too much for her own good
And DH and myself - IMHO we are just the normal disney obsessed family/couple.

Can't wait to see and meet all of you there!

I think this is the number that you need to call to make your reservations with the romance package. They aren't going to call you from what I gather. Her name is Debbie 407-566-7411. Hope that works for you.

My DGD is Alexis, age 6yr 8 mo. old. princess: Only she & I would add the mo. Any little girls can E-mail her through me at LTVIOLETS@AOL.COM WE are busy trying to get everything we need for the trip organized. :cool1:

It's beutiful weather here today! in the 60's...it's AWSOME :sunny: even went out w/ my friends and played some Basketball!

to think just about a month from now it will be even warmer than this!!! EEK...I cant wait! :Pinkbounc

only 31 more days!!!! :hourglass

Turk- I just sent you a PM.

I just got back from seing the Harlem Globetroters. They were great. The radio station that we won the cruise from gave us the tickets to go see them. We got to see some cruise ships down in Miami from the stadium we went to. That really got my boys excited about this cruise. They couldn't believe how big the ships were. Just wait until they see the MAGIC!!!

My oldest DS has a bunch of duplicate Disney Pins that he is going to bring on the cruise and he is going to try and trade them but, he also will be selling them really cheap if anyone might be interested in buying any. Just let me know.

Jill

I just got back from visiting my in-laws. I'm catching up on what I think is the most number of posts to this thread in the shortest amount of time. LOL. Passports for 3 kids and 2 adults. The second most expensive part of the cruise so far, and dh and I are renewals, so that's not as much as it could have been. Yikes.

I saw the thread on the big board with what appears to be another co-cruiser. I'm very excited for her that she got an upgrade. I have no frame of reference about the difference, so I can't say it matters to me. Besides, if we got moved, we wouldn't be on the same floor and Turk and Jill and I forget who else who is also on the deck 2! Hope, I was thinking of you when I saw that post. Maybe there's some last minute magic waiting for you, too.

Thanks for the feedback on the Sam's Club snorkel equipment. Maybe, we'll get it. It won't go to waste once we get home. I imagine the boys will create their own snorkel challenges in our pool. I can just imagine the things they'll sink to the bottom.

Hooked, we'll be on that 10am shuttle as well. :)

So far, the only things I've bought are lanyards with ID pouches. 97 cents at Walmart. If you want to stump an employee, ask where to find them. I also bought 2 underwater cameras.

I realize that I don't want an upgrade. I had a nightmare about my dd's being in the room alone and one pushes the other off a balcony :earseek:
I am happy with my CAT 10!!! :rotfl:

Where did you find the ID pouches? And yes, that does stump the WM employees! I can't find them anywhere. I found the laynards in the jewelry dept. But, no ID pouches. The ID pouches were few and far between.

Must go. Today is my first day at curves.

Later.........Hope

Hope, that is exactly where I found the lanyards with the pouches. They weren't anything nice, a black neck strap with a velcro breakaway feature and a clear plastic pouches that zip like a ziplock bag. I hope I haven't bought the wrong thing!

found that and bought it for my DH!! It will work just fine!

Hello All.
Myself and my DH and DD(23 months) will be sailing on the 9th!
I'm coming in to the exchanges late in the game...where are the DIS'ers (I hope that I typed that correctly) meeting up and when, I'd love to come by.
Thanks
HollBud

Welcome Hollbud! Better later than never.

Hope, how was your first Curves session?

Jill, up till now, no one in the family has mentioned pins. I'm wondering if it might be time to get interested or if I shouldn't even tell the boys about pin trading.

Welcome Hollybud 78 +3 = 81 :teacher:

Curves was a lot of fun! I really enjoyed it. It is so fast paced you don't even realize you are working! I signed up my 11 yr old dd too. She isn't overweight, just the preteen thickness setting in. I want her to feel good about herself. We are going again tomorrow.

I ordered my Disney Rewards today. I can't wait to get them. It will make it seem so real. I have been waiting for time to cash them in.

Must go pack lunches for tomorrow.

Hope

Will I think my cold is almost gone now. I hope the family either gets sick really quick or everyone better be do with the flu and cold thing until after the cruise.

Jill

Thought we were done with the cold/sick thing and then....... last night baby and one of the twins starts throwing up!!! YUK.. Now tonight my DH has it. STAY AWAY FAMILY :sad2:
Oh well at least it is 4 weeks out and not 4 days. Lets get this over with now!

Started getting the suitcases organized. With six people to pack I am going to need 4 weeks!
I can't wait to leave. One month from today! I can't believe it is snowing outside AGAIN!! :cold:
Well off to bed, don't know what this night is going to bring?! Sunny dreams of Cruising from me! :sunny:

I am so sorry to hear about your family Kate!! I hope all get well soon. So far, my family has escaped the flu virus that has hit our town so hard. But, just as I say it, we will ALL get it!! Get so rest tonight!

Hope

I agree. If anyone has to get sick, get sick now and get it over with.

I haven't been able to go to go through the stuff out of the attic because there is no light up there and I don't know which boxes have our summer clothes. For some reason the light was only working once in a blue moon and we haven't had a blue moon recently. Today, it came to me that the switch that controls the power to the light socket in the attic is in the kitchen. It doesn't make a lick of sense since the attic is over the garage, but it's the only switch in the house that didn't seem to activate anything in the house. So, I tried it and it worked. Go figure.

Hello. I will be joining everyone on the April 9, Western with my wife, mother and Father. It will be my mother and fathers first cruise ever and our second Disney Cruise. We look forward to meeting everyone on the ship.

I guess I just found this link about the cruise dates i'm going on so I thought I would just drop a note to say hi and hope to see you real soon!

Kate.......I told you I would jinx myself by saying that we had missed the flu bug!! Last night my oldest dd threw up only once....but I knew it would happen after saying that. She is fine and going to school. I will be crossing my fingers that she makes it all day. I got her up early to eat breakfast to make sure she would keep it down. She did, so off to school for her and work for me! I know, bad mommy!!!!

Have a good day all. Our numbers keep growing.

Hope
