Anyone for the last week in June - just before the 4th of July ?

I just changed my ressies to a split stay: June 29-July 1 at the Contemporary, and then AKL from July 1 to July 5th.

I have my Illuminations cruise, my Chef Mickey's, and my Whispering Canyon done. I need to go for the Fantasmic Dinner Package. My 14 year old son just cannot wait to get into the CRs arcade!

I've already started my packing list. The single digit dance is going to come fast!

We'll be there too! :Pinkbounc
OKW June 24th to July2nd

Me and DH, DS's (19 and 16), DD 12 and my DS, DSH, DN's (17 and 16).

All our teenage boys are hoping that there will be lots of teenage girls around!
My DS 19, wants to bring his guitar, but I told him no unless he can pack his clothes in the case with the guitar!! (He thinks he will attract the girls with the guitar! :lmao:

right now we're planning to fly down july 4th...BUT....and that's a big but :upsidedow ....we might go a few days before then...I'll be off to AAA today to check it out :cloud9:

P.S. this is my first WDW trip planned all on my own...first time I'll be 18 and old enough to do it all by my big self LOL :wizard:

I'm planning my first WDW trip all by myself too! You know, my mother totally didn't make it look as complicated as it can be :) of course, the plan-a-holic she is she starts planning forever ahead of time...me, i just decided..oh...a month or so ago...

By the way.... JUNE 13-20!! and i'm so proud...i did it all by myself!

We (me, my DH, and DS - 12) will be checking into the Contemporary on June 23rd (YEAH!!) and checking out on July 2nd (BOO!!). This will be our 4th trip to WDW - our second at the Contemporary - our favorite. It'll be here soon!!

I am getting excited, June will be here be we know it.

Anyone staying at Disney just before July 4th. booked with Delta air having their flight numbers and flight times changed. I have had my flights changed twice so far. Each time only by 5 minutes but still wondering. ;)

thanks,

John

I've had my flights changed once. We went from having a direct flight and arriving at 11:40 to a connecting through Atlanta and not arriving until 2:30. It has been a bit frustrating.

I was issued a document by AAA stating that I would be traveling from nyc to mco on june 25th. I was to sign and return the doc. I refused to sign it until the flight numbers and the carrier were written in not just a generic place to place sentence. If you had done this you would have been protected from having the straight flight changed to a connecting flight. They did that to me last time and I wound up with $200.00 in travel dollars because they breeched the contract. My flights have only been changed by several minutes but I wanted to see how many folks this happens to. :thumbsup2

Thanks, John

Thanks for the advice.

What are everyone's plans for their first day? Are you going to go to a park or hang out at the resort?

We're going to try to keep it low-key. We might go see Fantasmic if we are feeling the need to be in the park. Otherwise we might just hang out and look at the animals at AKL.

We're going to hit the parks ASAP. :moped:

I'm planning EMH at MGM (June 28). I'm not sure if we're going to do the Fantasmic dinner package at HNV(for first show) or have dinner at Prime Time Cafe then catch the second show.

I've heard that the 2nd show of Fantasmic is less crowded than the 1st show.
We're looking forward to seeing it for the 1st time when we go (we ran out of time the last time we were at Disney).

I like to think we'll take it easy, but most likely we'll be so excited that we'll (by that I mean I'll :bounce: ) want to hit the parks ASAP.

We'll be at WL 6/24 - 7/1. Looking forward to hot, fun, relaxing good time! :cool1:

We are scheduled to be in Disney from June 20-June 30 and then the next 4 days over at Universal.

Can't wait! :thumbsup2

We will also be there from june 22 - 30th. Joining us (family of Texans) will be my best friend and her family (of Michigans.) This will be our first time there. We will be celebrating my daughters b day the 23rd. So she's gonna love it. Can't waite, time is ticking... Hopefully all will go well...

I am going June 24 - July 1st for our honeymoon  We are staying at the AKL.

We were supposed to get in at 2:30 pm. They changed our flight 3 times on USAir. We paid for a straight flight- and they added 2 connections-for a less than 2 hour flight!! Needless to say, I protested and we got our straight flight> but now we're getting in at 9:30 am. We are planning to hang by the pool and enjoy the photo-ops at ASMovies, allow a little time for travel, check-in, luggage, etc. Then off to ride the monorail (we've never done it!) to Chef Mickey's (also a first) to have dinner with the big cheese himself. I figured it will save time in the parks not having to stand in line for autographs. We are all going to have soooo much fun!! Can't wait to see you all there! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :hourglass
