Anyone for Dec 2008???

You must be hysterical about your upcoming trip! It seems as though December is coming rather quickly. I honestly thought that it was still the first week of march, but it's the last!! That means that there is only 2 months until June 1st which is when the December hours come out, and the time when most of us can book our ADR's-throughout the month of June.

We sure are going nuts!!!! Yeah we booked in Jan for the WL and the Magic your Way Package with Hopper and Meals. Time is going fast but not fast enough! We have the date marked, on our calendar for the ADR's and I am taking off from work that day LOL. And May 1 I am booking the MVMCP.

I feel like such a kid!

We will be going on our first trip to Disney World in December!! I am SO excited!!!!!!!!

Same for us and this will be our first trip without kids too. We have been wanting to go for the holidays for a long time.

Don't hold me to that exact date, but WDW said that they are releasing the park hours 6 months in advance. From June 1st-December 1st is 6 months.

271 days to go. Countdown started at 432 days. We'll be staying at Fort Wilderness for 13 days.

Can't wait to see the castle in the new lights. Our only previous trip at Christmas was in 2003 when the Osbourne lights were down because of the Lights, Motors Action construction. So this will be our first trip to see those. Can't wait for that either.

It's my parents first time staying on site and their first time going to the world with their granddaughter, I can't wait to see their faces when they see how much she loves Disney.

On another note I don't want to wish away the spring/summer but sheesh it's going so slow 8 months seems like forever when you can't wait to go!

I'm so excited to 'meet' other December planners!!!
We are going Dec 1-8th, staying at POR and I'm so exicted!!!

It'll be the first trip for our two boys who will be 4 and 8 at the time, AND the first trip for my MIL and FIL. I can't wait to see their excitement. We haven't told the boys yet, still trying to decide between surprising them and letting them get excited before-hand. Leaning towards the surprise at this point, but not sure.

We already booked the resort and the DDP. I too have the calendar marked for May 1st for the 12-2 MVMCP and June 4th (I think that's 180 days) for my ADR's...which I have mapped out already...I'm a freak I know! LOL

Looks like we should avoid main street on the 6th or 7th in MK for the filming of the parade right? And the Pop Warner will be there the 7th-13th (I think), which I'm not too worried about. Anything else we should note??

I'm so glad to hear about the rest of you going in December too - I'm so flat excited about this trip! I'm trying not to drive the rest of my family crazy!

We will also be there for "parade taping days" - we're going Dec 3-9 (staying at POP). I'm hoping to avoid MK on parade day - but may go that evening for the parade.

Jengi4 - you're not a freak! I have most of my ADR's planned already too - just waiting for June to book.

Maybe I missed this earlier in the thread, but did you all already share what your ADR's might be?

Mine are:
12/2-4pm Liberty Tree Tavern before MVMCP
12/3-dinner at Whispering Canyon
12/4- 8pm Rose & Crown before Illuminations (not sure about this one...with kids, any advice?)
12/5-my DH's b-day, he wants to go to Sea World and ESPN club for dinner, which doesn't take ressie's
12/6-breakfast at Chef Mickey's, dinner at Sci-Fi Drive in
12/7-lunch at Garden Grill (not sure on this one either...still researching)

We are staying at POR and are planning on sending the boys on the Sassagoula River Cruise on thursday morning.

We took our kids to Rose and Crown, no problem. They were a bit iffy on some of the food choices, but I think ended up with (shock!) macaroni and cheese. They did sample our appetizers and desserts with us, though, and liked them. We were seated outside and they enjoyed that part, too.
