Anyone for Dec 2008???

Another December 2008 happy dancer here! We'll be at the Contemporary from December 5 through the 14th. We made our reservations five days after getting home from last year's trip!

Now we're down to 239 days to go -- seems like forever! But at least we have a trip on the horizon. Without a trip to look forward to, this banana would be laying on its side, whining, "When can we got back to Diiiiiisney?" Instead, it gets to dance!

Has anyone started buying things for the trip yet?

DH thinks Im nuts for getting the kids new luggage already (25% off through DisneyStore) and pouring over books and websites on a daily basis. This is our first trip and I don't want to forget anything. I signed up for tgm last night and have been looking over some of that stuff today. I have no idea what to do about ADR's. I have a pretty good idea of where we want to go its just figuring out exact dates and times to go.

I am just way too excited.

Wow! Pretty cool! We stayed at SOG for the first time last year and fell in love. We are a family of five and the rooms are awesome and not to mention it's practically a monorail resort Yeah, I still can't believe we were castle winners It was unbelievable for sure!

Dec. was our first time at SOG too. yeah, GREAT location!! we did hop from SOG to Poly for 7 nights too...b/c I wanted to stay there so bad!! This time SOG is fine w/me the whole time...it was fantastic. I wasn't sure what to expect but it was much better than I expected! yeah, the rooms are very nice size
Oh, I can imagine you were pretty excited. we were right behind a family that won on Buzz Space Ranger Spin!! I didn't see that they won the castle stay until we got home and they are DISers!!!

you're not nuts! I buy stuff 365 days a year w/disney trips in mind at least you found us and you'll have peace of mind knowing you're surrounded by veterans to help ya out! I'm too excited too!!! I'm kinda disney obsessed

I am so excited and glad that i am not the only one excited about a December trip. My DH is excited we are going but does not show it until we are on our way there. He is not a a planner. I wish there was more to plan. I constantly shop for Disney items for the vacation and read the books and go on the sites. I probably sound like i have a problem.LOL
I am going to WDW from 12/09/08 - 12/20/08. I am nervous about the crowds, but am sure it will be beautiful. We are staying at Pop Century. We are a family of 4 dd will be 8 and ds will be 5. My dh and I are going to try the parasailing. Has anyone done htis before. The kids are going to do the pirate adventure. We are thinking we are going to try the MVMCP.
I cant wait. We are also doing the dining deluxe and using it mostly on character meals and 2 credit meals and shows.

There's a Disney Outlet on my way to/from work - I'm usually in there once a week (and always after payday!!)I'm stocking up on t-shirts for the trip ...

The store manager knows me by sight now - last week she saw me and said "It must be Friday!!" ...

I am just way too excited.

I have a little stash going...things I see on sale or just cheap things. I have to be careful to hide them though, as our boys don't know we are going yet.
I think so far I only have some of the cheap ponchos, some free samples of laundry detergent, lotion and shampoos that came in the mail. We ordered the boys' Mickey ears with their names on them, and I've also purchased lanyards with zipper wallets at the end for the boys.
What do you have so far??

OMG!! I just went to our Disney Outlet store for the first time today! I will be back I went in JUST to get my son some Disney Dollars and ended up getting the twins Disney sleepers (that were cheaper than the Carter Outlet store right next to it ) So I have a whole new list of "Items to buy for trip" now that I know we have a Disney outlet

So far I have autograph books, sharpies, moleskin, ponchos, and I'm working on the Disney pins & princess dress on ebay. (Unfortunately there are no Disney outlets anywhere near me...I'm very jealous Joel!!) There's no such thing as packing too early!!

I am starting to get really active for planning my December trip. We are going December 13-21 and staying at the All Star Music Family Suites . We have never stayed there, so we are looking forward to it.

My cousin said she might be going too, so that is exciting , because she and her 2 little ones have never been. We have taken her oldest in 2005 and will take her again this June.

Now, I am just waiting to buy our MVMCP tickets and make our ADR's.

Yeah I wondered about that too...guess layering is probably the key to Disney in December right? I'm also jealous of the outlet store...we have a regular Disney store but I hate going to the mall...I do keep checking disney store online, they have an outlet section. It's hard to choose for my 7 yr old though, he's at that age where he's picky about wearing stuff that's for 'little kids'...so much for all the Lightning McQueen stuff clothes he has!

We'll be at Pop Century. It will be my mom, sister, husband and in-laws. My husband and I have been once (we got engaged there in 2005 ), but its the first time for everyone else. I just hope they love it as much as I did.

No worry, I have been planning our trip since December 2006, as soon as we returned from our first Christmas trip.

Oh, you will love MVMCP. I am excited because it is different from the one we attended in Dec 2006.
