Just wondering if anyone else was trying to find a flight out of New Orleans to Orlando... if so what kind of deals have you seen? I was going to go for Gulfport but there prices are even higher... I just can't seem to find anything cheap aka good deal... I like aa's prices but I like delta's times (afraid that they might change them though) but I'm not flying until Jan 28 - Feb 3... still looking.

just bumping to see if anyone can answer...

Southwest is by far usually the best deal, but they do not have NO posted on their site anymore. I live in Baton Rouge & thought about driving to Jackson, MS. They keep having deals for $38 (i think) one way so the cost would roughly be $78 R/T. I think the drive for us to get to Jackson would be 3 hours, but it beats 10!!!

For the past 3 years we have flown SW out of NO (we live in Baton Rouge). We thought about driving to Jackson, but the flight (there is only one offered per day) is at a bad time for us. We are going to WDW in Dec and March, both of those trips we are flying Delta out of Baton Rouge. Delta offers one non-stop flight a day out of Baton Rouge.

I have a question about the delta flights... so far they have the BEST times for our dates, i think we would leave at 10:30 and get there at 1:30 and all the other airlines have us leaving at 6 or 7am (new orleans is an hour away from me so that means early early) and we still dont get there until 1 or 2pm... PLUS delta is the only airline so far with a straight flight to MCO...

(btw, I appreciate the responses!)

OHHH my question (sorry sleepy hehe) my question is, on deltas website when I do a check it gives me the price of 188.00 but it doesn't state if that includes the taxes and fees??? When you click contiune it goes to the part where you give your personal information and payment info... does the 188 include the fees? Because if so then that would be PERFECT.. I mean yeah it's not a GREAT deal but so far the cheapest I can find (southwest being one of the most $$$) is american airlines and that's 179.00 so yeah, i'll pay for delta if i can get the good flight times and no stop route...

Oh and I dont really want to drive to Jackson, sure driving there wouldn't be that bad but coming home it would drive me NUTS... I would drive the whole trip but seeing as how we have a Ford Truck it's cheaper to fly! And flying is a fun part of the vacation!

Just wanted anyone to know who is flying MSY to MCO during the ending part of January 06 that I check my flight I want everyday and today it was actually 10 dollars cheaper!!! Did anyone else notice delta to be at all cheaper today? If they came down 10 more dollars I would book asap. I love their times and it's a nonstop flight...

Just wanted to share!

Hey Jaime-
I just checked out Delta today - I think its about $180, which includes tax/fees. I really hate to pay that when I know SE was offering $30 each way. I'm going to wait a while and see what SW decides to do. I don;t see any point in booking a flight 3 months in advance, especially when $180 isn't exactly a great deal, although like you, I like Delta's times. There's no way I am flying through Houston, but I may consider goin thru Atlanta, since at least you're going sorta in the "right" direction. :)

Have you tried Airtran out of Gulfport or New Orleans? They usually have some decent sale fares.

Anyway, I'm just planning on keeping an eye on fares and praying that SW decides to add a non-stop flight.

I've decided to keep watching, I figure if Delta did come down to 140 I would take it just because it's the best flight out there... but I am watching DING, I wish SW would hurry up... but I don't see them lowering there prices only because the cheapest out going is a 71 dollar speical and so far coming home they don't offer anything but the 114... But for me it's still to early to pick because since I'm not flying during the busy times I'm thinking they might lower prices... that maybe why Delta is coming down, according to their site the whole plane is still open... if I start seeing the seats go away I might think harder... we''llll seeee!

OH and i have found ALLLL of Gulfports flights to be almost 100 dollars more because they only offer to the flight to Houston and then to Orlando... they were going to start Orlando flights before the storm... I dont know. It's not that big of a deal.. it I have to pay the 180 that will be fine but I'm not going to rush into it just yet. I figure at the 60 day mark if I haven't found something then I'll start rushing.

Thanks!
Jaime
