Anyone fly First Class US Airways?

We did the trial membership for US Airways Platinum before we booked our trip. I just got an email that we were upgraded to first class. Good news, but they changed our seating around and now I am sitting a row in front of my husband and kids. Wondering what you get on first class? Snacks, Movie, or just more leg room?

Free drinks, snacks and free baggage allowance. The free baggage is great with us air because they charge for even the first bag. Just be a little careful, if they did not upgrade the return trip you will be paying $25 per bag. YIKES!!!

I've flown first class on US Airways, once. There was a little more room-but I was in the first row. However, I didn't find it any more luxurious, than Delta's first class cabin. My fav is Continental Airlines first class cabin. Southwest Business Class and JetBlue has better service, though-than US Airways or JetBlue. But, congrats on the upgrade, anything free in this economy is worth taking

I just got back from Disneyland, I used an award ticket to fly USAirways first class. On my PIT-PHX leg on Sunday, they served breakfast (omlet or yogurt) and a pass of the snack basket. PHX-SNA & SNA-PHX was just the snack basket. PHX-PIT last night was a choice of chicken & pasta or a roast beef sandwich. It depends on how long the flight is if they serve a hot meal. Otherwise, just the snack basket & unlimited drinks. No movies or TV (US stopped them last year). Slightly more legroom than coach & seats are bigger width wise.

If you are still on the trial for status on the day of your flight, they should not charge you for bags in either first or coach.

On US Airways, sadly, it is nothing special. You'll get all the free drinks you'd like, a bigger seat (but still not that great). Whether or not you get a meal depends on the length of the flight. US Airways is really cheap on providing meals in First Class, and the quality is pretty poor.

Sadly, only American Airlines and Continental still provide traditional first class service with hot, good tasting meals on short flights.

But still, its better than coach!

I was going to mention Continental, in terms of US domestic first class, they have pretty much the best offering, it makes US Airways domestic first class look like coach in terms of service and offerings.
