I have and it’s ok. The only problem we ever had was a number of years ago, flying with my daughter and her son who was a baby.
We took off just fine, but when we arrived at our connection, the gate attendant sort of yelled at us “I didn’t know you had an infant!!!! Now we have to redo seat assignments!” (Boarding had just begun). I said, “Lady, it’s not like we walked here. I’m sorry you were unaware and maybe the first flight didn’t have the data entered correctly, but this is definitely NOT something we just did to ruin your day. We booked with “infant in arms” clearly in our confirmation.”.
She didn’t apologize, but another gate attendant worked it out and we boarded. Once we boarded, a flight attended moved my daughter and grandson to the back of the plane, as the gate attendant assigned us to an exit row.
While the rest was fine, and I just waited for them in the next terminal, that left a bad taste in my mouth for sure. When I flew alone, since I’m carryon only and don’t care where I sit, when I board, etc, it had been fine. I’m a no-frills easy going flyer. They no longer service our small airport, and they are not missed at all.
