Both are pet friendly and we need a clean place to stay the night before checking in at PBH. I can't see $300 for another night at PBH when we will arrive close to midnight. Pet friendly is a must as we'll have Scruffy our Shih Tzu with us. Residence Inns look decent but they tack on a $75 surcharge for pets. I just can't see that. Especially when the room is over $100 already. IF anyone has stay at either of these or the Holiday Inn on I Drive I'd appreciate feedback. TIA

I have not stayed in that LaQuinta Inn - but the one closer to WDW and it was decent.

the walls were a little thin - but that is a complaint even disney has...

some people are just loud....

I can definately answer this question...I have stayed 3 times at La Quinta Inn Orlando International Dr
8300 Jamaican Court
Orlando, FL 32819

La Quintas are VERY pet friendly. I have 3 dogs and everything was fine. There are no extra charges they don't even ask you if you have a pet!! A couple of suggestions are to request a bottom floor room which is easier when taking the dog out to the bathroom, if there are no bottom floor units there are several stairs to use( my oldest dog was scared of the elevator). This hotel has several entrances there are side entrances you can use besides the main front desk but you need you room key to unlock the back and side hotel doors for security. When we check in my husband usually sits in the car with the dogs while I check in and then we enter from one of the side entrances because my dogs like to bark at people. I have never had a problem here, rooms are clean, and staff is nice. Universal is about 5 minutes from this hotel. Check their web site they have AAA discounts and if you are staying a Friday or Sat night they have "special deals" which is under the special deals tab on the front page. These come out weekly for the following weekend only. Sometimes they have rooms for 59 or 69 dollars. Good Luck!

That's great to know. Our little guy is pretty laid back, hasn't ever ridden in an elevator, I hadn't thought about that. Appreciate the heads up about bottom floor. I know that PBH has us flagged for bottom floor, pet area. They told me there not to bother about him barking, he was just saying hello to the neighbors! :)
