Anyone familiar with Airtran sales patterns?

Looking for anyone who knows/has exprience with Airtran & the sale fares they offer.

Originally, I had a $59 each way rate in September (booked in August) but had to cancel due to hurricane/conflicts at home. Was able to get credit without change fee.

Now, I would like reschedule for January. Currently, Airtran is offering a $89 each way rate. This includes flights through February 2005 but must be booked by Sept. 21.

Should I go ahead and book? What are the chances of lower fares coming out after the current sale?

Is anyone familiar with Airtran's patterns? Any help you can provide is greatly appreciated!

PS -- This $89 each way rate could be for a direct flight, so I know it is a good rate. Just wondering if anything better will come along. Also, worried about plans changing again so perhaps I should give it more time to avoid possible change fees.

They offer deals quite often, but for a direct flight for under $200.... I would jump on it, now.

They also do not issue credit/voucher if the price goes down after you book.

I've been watching them for December. It's usually $89 each way - PIT/MCO. It's been that price all week. I checked it today, the last day of their current sale and it dropped to $59 each way! With taxes $135 per ticket!

It's back up to regular price of $215 roundtrip today.

offerings. That is how I discovered a special 3 day sale out of DFW for $59. each way. Can not recall that it has been offered again but I do receive an e mail about once a week from them with their specials. I would think Jan. was a slow travel month and I hope it is offered to you again.........
You did not say what airport you wanted to travel out of if that makes a difference.......AirTran will make offers until the plane is full.......In our case they did reset the schedule at the 45 day mark and our direct flight got moved from 1:40 pm to 8 am
