Has anyone here used Small World Vacations to book there vacation to WDW? I sent them an email for a quote and they sent a quote fast. But since any questions I have go unanswered for what seems like too long for me. I sent an email to them and waited 1 week and 2 days and still nothing and so I sent another email this past saturday asking if she recieved the last emnail and she replied with yes, I am going to work on it on Sunday and either call you or email you. Now its Tuesday and still nothing  .

Anyone have suggestions of another travel agent?

I used Small World for my upcoming September trip and couldn't be happier. All my requests were addressed promptly, emails answered within a day or two, all my stuff was mailed (just got my ME tags!) and my rep Lynne was friendly, helpful, and very patient with my dining and resort "changes". Even got 2 free ponchos! I would recommend them in a heartbeat! :) :)

I also have booked my January trip with Small World Vacations and am very sastisfied! My agent, Tracy, answers my emails promptly - even on her days off! - and has been nothing but helpful. I am really enjoying letting someone else handle all of the small details required to plan a Disney vacation.

I also requested a quote with Small World and had much the same experience that you are having. My quote took over a week but it was in Jan right after all the changes and I gave them the benefit of the doubt since there were reports that all agencies were slow then. But when I asked the same question 3 times without getting an answer from my agent I decided not to book with them. I booked with another agency instead.

There are too many good agents and agencies out there and 1st impressions are important for your comfort level. I would either call the agency and ask for a new agent or start looking for a new company.

You didn't happen to get Jody did you??

HTH, Calie

I've used Small World Vacations a few times and have had a wonderful agent. She is right on top of every email I've ever sent. My experience has been very positive. If I had yours, however, I'd be looking for a different TA. I wouldn't want to be sitting around that long waiting for a response to my inquiry and planning my vacation. Good luck to you!

My TA with Small world vacations was Susie. I am switching right now. I am thinking about Dreams unlimited or maybe just someone in my town. I hope they are better. Thanks for the advice.

I used them to book last month. All of my emails were answered promtly, even on a Sunday! I spoke with her on the phone after I booked and she told me that she is on vacation and not to expect my paperwork for 3 weeks, I believe. I wonder if you have the same agent.... I'll post her name if I can think of it.

I just found it and her name is Stephanie. Is that who you were working with?

I was using Small World for our Disney Cruise (unfortunately we had to cancel) and found our TA quick to grab the deposit but then phone calls and emails went unanswered for quite some time until I sent the one to cancel our ressie. We did get the deposit back quick, but I won't be using them again.

I have used them a few times and have always been happy.

As with any travel agency if you are not satisfied my first step would be to speak with the owner. The contact for the owner is Sue@WDWVacations.com
Look at the bottom of this page http://www.wdwvacations.com/aboutswta.html

There have been the same questions and satisfied and dissatisfied people with Dreams Unlimited agents

As in any other business there are good employees and ok employees

Even if you go with a different agency I would suggest contacting the owner so that she can address it with the agent if there is a problem. Hopefully this will ensure that it won't happen to someone else. If the owner doesn't know that there is a problem it can't be fixed

Good luck planning your trip, whomever you choose to go with

I've used Jodie at Small World Vacations for two trips now and have been very pleased both times! We'll be using her services again next year!

There is a similar thread on the Theme Park board, only they are complaining about Dreams Unlimited! As I said on that thread, I think it is the agent you are given rather than the company itself. You can always request another agent. :goodvibes

I booked our upcoming Oct trip.
With Small World Vacations.
Our TA is Tracy.
Very happy with service.
On top of everything.

I also had some questions for Small World about my quote and never got a reply so I went somewhere else for my quote.

I used Small World last year and couldn't be happier. I went to the same agent this year and although she is the nicest and friendliest person I have dealt with she was just taking too long to respond to simple questions. That tells me she is being over worked and therefore NOT the agent's fault but the company. I ended up booking everything myself.

Thank you posting Sue's email address. I could not find it anywhere. I am going to send her an email.

I used Small World Vacations for a Xmas 2004 trip and we are going back in June of 2006. Our rep is Tracey and she is great! I can't believe how patient she has been with all of my itinerary changes and she has been very helpful with dinner reservations, etc.

I just booked my (for me) last-minute trip to Disney with Diana from Small World Travel. She's been great! I e-mailed her a variety of dates and resorts, she got back to me quickly with the various rates. Then I changed my mind and sent her an entirely new list of options and again, very quick response. I've spoken with her and I'm very impressed. She's answered every question I have; she made all my ADRs based on my list of desired restaurants and times; I got my confirmation about a week after payment; I got my DME tags (FOUR of them!) this past weekend...

I am using Josephine @ Small World for our upcoming December trip and despite the fact I'm in Australia everything is going smoothly and I'm getting replies to any emails I send within 15mins.of her hitting her desk in the mornings (I believe we are 14 hours ahead). She booked the CP package for us, exactly as we wanted and I was notified with a confirmation no.at 8.30am east coast time on the 15th :cloud9:
I had also originally sent a quote request to Dreams Unlimited.Still waiting!!!
