Anyone ever take Amtrak from Pittsburgh?

I am trying to figure out how to get back to Disney. My brother drove last time which I won't do. So I am trying to look at alternatives. I am looking at flying or train. I know the train id long around 20+ hours. Just wondering if anyone has done it and what you thought.

I have done it from NY Penn station twice to WDW and once to West Palm Beach. (Have also done the Autotrain). It is a long trip so be prepared.

I would definitely do it again (we are actually booked on the autotrain for April), I just wish the restrooms were cleaner or should I say cleaned during the trip, lol.

As long as you know what to expect, you will be fine. Expect delays (we only had a delay for one trip). You can bring a dvd player, cards, pillow and a blanket, it gets cold, etc. You can bring snacks, drink, food, etc. for part of your trip. The food in the dining car is pretty good - the counter - well everyone has a different opinion -

Also arrange for a car to pick you up once you arrive.

How do you arrange for transportation to wdw when you arrive at a station? which station is the best arrival for wdw ? Kissimee or Orlando? or ???

We prefer Kissimmee station and we used FLtours.

We actually just did a trip at the end of October this year. I would say definately upgrade to sleeping accomodations if you can. We loved having a bedroom for the DC to Orlando leg. We actually really enjoyed the train, the people we met and the food (honestly!). We are planning 2 more trips to Florida, but will take the autotrain since we'll need the car.

We have also done the sleepers - no comparison with coach. Of course, if you can do it and they are available, go for it without a doubt.
