anyone ever have a SW award reissued?

A friend offered us his soon to be expiring SW award. He sent in the request and the $50 fee to have the award reissued last Monday so we can use it for our cruise in January. How long does it take before the new award is reissued? Does SW notify the member via email when this has been completed or do you just need to check your rr account from time to time? TIA!

When I had my RR ticket extended, the change in date was noted on my RR account page. I don't recall receiving anything in the mail or by email. I believe it took about two weeks.

I received notificaton via email about me newly reissued RR just like I receive all my RR emails.

how long did it take for your award to be reissued from the time you sent the request in?

My award was set to expire the middle of July. I sent my $50 in about a week before and within two weeks I got my email notification that the reward had been reissued. The rep on the phone said to allow up to 30 days for processing, so getting it back in two weeks was great!!!
