Just wondering if I should be worried about someone stealing my stroller or baby's items from basket like diaper bag with wipes and diapers, snacks.

Has anyone had this problem?

Dear God, I would like to think that nobody would do such a thing but I am betting that it has happened.

We've used strollers MANY times in WDW and never had anything stolen. Of course, I wouldn't leave anything valuable in there - just in case.

thanks!! I hope we don't have anything stolen either...but i did read of one person's thread who had batteries stolen from their misting fans...so it had me wondering if this is common.

Someone has to be a real jerk to steal from a baby you know???

On our first day in MK in 2005 our refillable resort mug was stolen from the stroller basket. I had just bought it and filled it before we left the resort for the day. I was really ticked off...... but then I invisioned the thief getting violently ill from after drinking from the cup..... and I felt a little better. ;)

I'm always more concerned about leaving stuff in my son's wheelchair bag when we get on rides and I transfer him. I keep his medications and nebulizer in that bag and it's too heavy to carry on rides. We leave my little one's stroller parked outside and I'm never too concerned.

I read once about a lady who takes a diaper, pours root beer all over it, puts it in a clear baggie, and then ties it to her stroller handle. You can bet that no one wants to go near that stroller!

My (then) 5 yr. old nephew had his very filled out autograph book taken from their stroller. We've had bottled water taken from our stroller when it was unseasonally hot last October. I'd never leave anything that is worth any value in the stroller - although that bottled water was almost worth its weight in gold that hot day.

In all of our trips we have never had anything taken from our stroller. Of course we never left anything of high value in it and any bags of merchandise went with us when we took our kids out of the stroller..

If you still had your receipt, and told a CM at your resort what happened, they may have replaced it.

Sorry that happened to you!

There was just another thread on this topic....twice we had critters steal food from our stroller. Once was a squirrel who stole french fries at Universal. The other was a bird who stole popcorn. We've never left anythig of real value inthe stroller, but we've never had anythign taken.

Be aware though that CM's DO move strollers that are left, and it can take a few minutes to find them. It may well be worth tying a a colored bandana or something unusual and brightly colored to your stroller to make it distinct.

Darn that WDW wild life!

We have taken a stroller every year since 1997 and never had anything taken from it. The only thing of value we take are cameras. We stick them way up front under all the other stuff where they can't be seen. We tend to have our stroller packed pertty tight (family of 5) so if someone was going to steal anything, they would need to really work for it:rotfl: .

No stroller thefts to report here. We safely left ours all over all the parks, and even outside several Boardwalk restaurants. Of course, we don't leave any valuables in there.

We do tie a colorful lei around the handle so we can find it in the sea of strollers the CMs always seem to be obsessively rearranging.

Thankfully my stroller days were over years ago, but when I see the strollers all lined up with bags hanging off them and under them, I always think to myself that anyone could just help themselves !

These posts make me feel better. It is sad the lows people will go to. In our local amusement park a mom's whole stoller was taken.

DH's hat was stolen from the top of our stroller once  ...the one and only time I ever wished he had head lice. :rolleyes1

Not a stroller, but someone swiped my MiL's rented wheelchair once.
