Anyone ever had items stolen from strollers?

Our bag was stolen once from our stroller. I was a kids backpack containing diapers, wipes, and some Mickey suckers. I bet that theif was pretty disappointed, but a nuisance for us.

I am feeling better after reading all the responses!! I won't be leaving anyhing valuable in the stroller but diapers and wipes, but when you have a little one those items can be valuable when in need of them!!:rotfl2: We will have all our souviners sent back to our hotel.
I might just try the rootbeer on a diaper trick or maybe some babyfood on the diaper and put it in a clear bag...:rotfl:

DS new Buzz Lightyear lightup laser gun was taken out of the stroller basket when we were there last year. We had just gotten it! When we went to TS Island, ds dropped it into the basket like he would @ our local theme park. By the time we realized we were across already.

We take anything valuable in our small bag with us on rides, etc. We did replace the gun, but did not leave it in the basket again.

Last year we had 3 sets of batteries stolen out of our misting fan. I will say Disney replaced the batteries once we had a set once and the last time it was near the end of the trip and we didn't worry about it. The crazy thing to me was it took them longer to swap the batteries then to just take the whole fan. :confused3

We have taken a stroller every year since 1997 and never had anything taken from it. The only thing of value we take are cameras. We stick them way up front under all the other stuff where they can't be seen. We tend to have our stroller packed pertty tight (family of 5) so if someone was going to steal anything, they would need to really work for it:rotfl: .

I would be more careful. Someone could see the stroller with bags and push it to a secluded area to go through it.

We have never had anything stolen from our strollers either. We do always take our valuables with us (or rent a locker for the day)..so if someone did steal something they would just be getting diapers and wipes. However...I do highly reccomend taking the tip about tying something noticable onto your stroller. The CM's moved both of our strollers (to different locations) one time while we were on IASW and it took us forever to find them.

I think it's probably safe to say that it's 99% likely that you won't have anything stolen. There are some people though who are just awful and do steal things. It's heartbreaking.:sad2:

Yes. :sad1: Parked it near BTMRR so we could ride, I had my beautiful $30(!!!) Mickey's Sorcerer Hat propped inside the stroller and when I got off the ride, it was gone. :headache: ugh I was pretty angryy.

I read once about a lady who takes a diaper, pours root beer all over it, puts it in a clear baggie, and then ties it to her stroller handle. You can bet that no one wants to go near that stroller!
You know, that suggestion has been in the Unofficial Guide for at least fifteen years. I don't think too many people (bent on stealing a stroller or its contents, or not) would believe after this long that some other Guest would genuinely walk around all day with a poopy diaper in a clear plastic bag fastened to the stroller handle.

DW and I where at Epcot in May over by the lands. We seen 6 squirrels going thought all the strollers. They where carring off bags of gold fishs, cookies popcorn, and candy. One stroller this squirrel was throwing stuff around looking for food. You would have thought a person did it.We watched for 10 or 15 mins. Sorry folks it was funny:lmao: watching them go though bags for there loot.

In all the years we've gone we have never had anything stolen from our stroller. Although it did take some getting used to coming out of a ride and not seeing our stroller where we left due to a castmember moving it to the "proper" stroller parking!

never had anything taken - never left anything of value in there. the most we would ever leave would be wipes, or h20...

everything else is in a backpack that goes everywhere with us...

My suggestion would be to not leave anything of value in the stroller. Our stroller days just passed recently. We never had anything taken from our stroller but I would not want to risk it.

Thankfully my stroller days were over years ago, but when I see the strollers all lined up with bags hanging off them and under them, I always think to myself that anyone could just help themselves !

Exactly! I am shocked at the things people leave in strollers and then are surprised when someone steals them. I'm not saying stealing is right but it does happen. I guess I've just lived in big cities for too long but I couldn't imagine leaving my stuff out in the open like that.

I leave my bag under my stroller. It has wipes, pull-ups, change of clothes, ponchos, pens and autograph books. My camera stays with me. I have never had anything taken.
People who are suprised that people leave a bag under their stroller must have forgotten how much crap you take with you when you have a young one. I am more concerned about holding her in line then a bag. If it gets taken..oh well. I can replace the stuff.
I did have a friend how had her carriage taken at WDW one time. I still think that it was moved but she had CM looking for it and it was never found. It was a cheap one and it was her last day so no harm except that the kids autograph books were underneath. A CM got her address and listed the characters in the book and sent her a new one with all the autographs.

Just wondering if I should be worried about someone stealing my stroller or baby's items from basket like diaper bag with wipes and diapers, snacks.

Has anyone had this problem?

Hey if anyone wants to steal that kind of stuff more power to 'em, I'd have to pass on it....

Last Dec. someone took our leftover food from the princess lunch. It was in a big Disney bag. I wish I could have seen the person's face when they opened the bag!!! Imagine thinking you stole some cool Disney stuff and opening athe bag to see - - - someone's half eaten lunch!!!:rotfl2:
Serves them right for stealing!
My DH is still complaining. It was his favorite meal!
Have a great trip!!!

I guess like the birds in the parks, the little critters have figured out that there are usually some tasty snacks in the strollers. Little thieves!!!!

And for the record I really do not miss the "Baby Assault Gear" that we have not had to carry in years.....:thumbsup2
