Found a good deal on a kids eat and stay free promotion this summer. Not sure which one is good though? Torn between the Cancun/Tulum locations or Dominican Republic. Looking for an amazing beach and clean resort. We have never stayed at an All Inclusive before.]
Thanks for any input

My husband and I stayed at dreams tulum, it was beautiful but not much to do for the kids. Friends of ours stayed at Dreams in Cancun with their 2 children last yr and loved it. The water was calm and beach was nice

We stayed at Dreams in Nuevo Vallarta in December and loved it. It was beautiful!

We stayed at Dreams Riviera Cancun (south of cancun in Puerto Morelos). We loved it.....so much so we went back again without the kiddos!

The beach itself is beautiful. The water clarity can vary with the weather because it is very close to the natural reef. It can get sea grass (not mushy seaweed like we have here on Long Island)...little stick things of grass.

It is only 2 years old, so it is very new and pretty. Food and service were fantastic!

If you have children under 10, Dreams is fantastic for them. I could see where tweens/teens could get bored. The kids club was great for the little ones! Any ??? let me know!

My cousin got married at Dreams Punta Cana (it was a different name then but the same resort) and it was so amazing!! Beautiful pool, beach and rooms. My husband and I have been dying to go back.

I have 2 boys that will be 9 and 11 by this summer. We have never done an all inclusive and were hoping to have lots of fun. Not so much worried about tons of food just fun. Are there shows and entertainment for the adults? Is the ocean safe enough for the kids to swim? Can we use the Dreams Cancun property as well? Do they provide transportation to and from the airport?
Thanks

My boys were 9 and 11 when we went. I have a review on tripadvisor.

We booked a pkg with transfers.

The ocean is safe to swim...just beware of the jellyfish warning flags! My son was stung!

There isn't that much night entertainment for adults. A singer in the lobby or the club. the shows are family friendly and my kids enjoyed it.

It is small so we felt comfortable letting the boys roam. We gave them in/out access to the kids club, so they would just leave if they did something too "kiddie" ie. coloring.

My kids loved it!!!! We are going to Disney in 2 weeks and quite frankly I think they would rather go back to Mexico! We had lots of credit to use on our Disney visa so Disney it is. I'm sure we'll have fun, but Mexico is soooo relaxing!

We just got back from Disney 2 weeks ago and they were complaining. I agree most kids prefer swimming over walking in the parks waiting in line for rides. I was looking into going in late August when they offer kids free but worry about hurricane season. I'm all about the beach! We are not much into pool swimming.

I wouldn't worry about hurricanes...just get trip insurance. The chances are slim.

We were to check out on 10/13...the day the hurricane was supposed to hit...luckily it never did. On 10/12, Dreams prepped the entire place. Everything was removed and secured. It was simply amazing. They also printed weather updates and delivered them to the room throughout the day and night. They seemed very prepared!!!! We were impressed. My kids were hoping it would hit so we could stay longer! LOL

I agree about the pools...I spent all my days under that palapa....happy girl!
