anyone ever get a contact stuck ON their eye...

Hope your eye heals quickly!

Not that your asking for advice, but you may want to invest in glasses if your eyesight is anywhere as bad as mine. But I'm blind as a bat without them - can't even see the top E on the chart! I used to wear contacts pretty much daily for 15 years because I thought I looked cuter without glasses. Well, my eyes finally got sick of them and would get super duper red after wearing contacts for only a few hours. I would then have to go days in glasses to get my eyes back to normal, only to repeat the process all over again. Turns out my eyes were starting to develop sort of an allergy to the contacts (I didn't change brands either). I wore glasses for about 3 months straight and switched to dailies because they're much thinner. I also only wear contact about 3 days out of the week. My eyes are much happier with me now!

When I first had contacts this happened to me. I would have SWORN it was still on my eye and I was picking at it.
Yeah, it wasn't. It had fallen out. I had just irritated by eye so badly that it felt like it was. Still makes me shudder.

Yeah... 2 hours lots of money spent on different wetting drops... and guess what

yeah it wasn't in there... I did manage to scratch my eye pretty good though :) I ordered colored contacts this time... at least I'll know for sure if its in there or not... lol

OMG Helene, I am so sorry you went through this but after reading this I could not help but have some huge belly laughing holding my bladder. By the time I read a few post down and the poster asked if you were sure it was in there I totally lost it.
So sorry you had it happen I really am, but I have not had a good laugh in such a long time.
dearly glad the ordeal is over and hope your poor eye is calmed down soon. Good idea to get the colored ones this time.
Di

Ouch! Sorry you scratched your eye.

Yes, I've had a contact stuck once. After an hour & a half trying drops to get it off, I finaaly sat down and drank a couple of big glasses of water and relaxed. I am always dehydrated. I think the water helped hydrate my eyes from inside. Eye are mostly water. So if they needed the extra water, I guess it helped. The contact finally slipped right out when I tried 20 minutes later.

I managed to rip one and have about half of it in my eye and the rest of it on my finger. I kept rubbing my eyelid trying to dislodge it. Finally I got it loose and worked it down to a corner and dug it out.
