We have a 10 night stay starting in 1 week. 5 nights at the BC and 5 nights at the Poly and have booked standard rooms for both. Sometimes I imagine checking into one of the hotels and them telling me that we have been upgraded to Club Level. I think I need therapy:confused3 Hey one can dream!!!!!

Yes. I think you need therapy. I firmly agree with the advice to book where you will be happy staying.

That would be pretty awesome. Report back if it happens. :)

It's really just in fun. I am NOT planning on it happening. Just like to imagine if it did. We are SUPER happy about staying at the Poly and the BC.

Yes. I get that. My comment was meant in jest. But you have been all over the place with this vacation. I hope it is as wonderful as you have tried to make it.

It happened to us once at the Contemporary, they were working on it and had to move us up. I wasn't impressed and was certainly glad I didn't pay for it. Oddly enough, I think if it were offered again I'd probably refuse.

If you're crazy, we all are.

We booked a 10 night BC and then after reading another poster about doing a split stay with the BC and the Poly (which are both resorts we have never stayed). I started thinking that I should of done that, considering we are going for 10 nights. Luckily, I was able to book and to be honest, getting the Poly for half of the vacation has me super excited. Last minute surprises are the best.

No I don't really fantasize about club level (we have deluxe dining so we don't really need club level). I do however fantasize about being upgraded from a standard view to a Savannah view on our next stay at AKL, LOL...one can dream!

I also had that happen, was booked in a 1 bedroom standard in Jambo House and when we got to our room it was a Savannah View. When we checked in they said there were issues with our MBs and we stood chatting with the FD CM for a good half hour 45 min while people in a back room did something mysterious to them (which didn't work since my son and DIL's still didn't open the door when we got to the room but did later in the night after we left and came back). We didn't mind the wait, we were early anyway and had a great conversation with the CM so don't know if the two were related. My last solo trip I booked a standard room at YC, at some point before the trip it got changed in MDE (not by me) to a garden view and I didn't pay any more. Got there, early as usual and my room wasn't ready but the CM knew where it was going to be. Turned out to be a king room facing the lake and BW on the 4th floor. The king rooms are similar to a studio in that they have a funky little bar sink in them. Didn't ask for it, was perfectly happy with a standard view or I wouldn't have booked it but I guess because I was solo a king room made more sense. Mind you I've also had a garden view booked and ended up with a view of the swamp between YC and Dolphin and had a standard room booked and had a view of the parking lot so I've paid my dues so to speak.

Thats cool! Well we are booked in a standard room and my only request really is that we have bunk beds...I have already called Disney to have them put that request on file and I was also planning on calling like 10 days out to add the request again, but I also just heard that they have recently updated their online check in to add the option of bunk beds so I will be selecting that option. I also just joined Touringplans.com website and they have a room request section which is AWESOME! I basically was able to look at all the views of each room type and see which rooms already have bunk beds and let touringplans know and they will send AKL a fax 5 days before our check in date with the exact room that we would like to be in. Now with AKL even if you book standard there is still a chance to get a partial Savannah view if you book the Kudu Trail section so thats what I put on my request form through touringplans. Now I know nothing is ever a guarantee but I feel a heck of a lot better that I am doing everything I can do be able to get those bunk beds, LOL

We've always stayed at a value resort because we spend most of our time in the parks, but I always thought it would be so cool to stay club level at a deluxe. Well one year my DD won a 6 night WDW vacation off a radio contest. When we got all the paperwork, I almost passed out when I saw our package! Poly Club level with deluxe dining!! It was an amazing trip, but again, we spent most of our time in the parks and barely used the amenities for club level at Poly. Lol! I would never pay for it, but I certainly wouldn't turn it down if it was free again! Lol!! We are booked for January at All Star Movies for 10 nights and I am absolutely thrilled! Enjoy your trip!!

I think the chances of this happening are high. We stayed at AKL once and booked a standard and got a savannah view. I believe the majority of rooms are savannah views. Good luck!

Don't need to fantasize about it, had it happen because of a throw up smell in our room when we checked in at GF. We were glad it did happen, because we realized that CL is not worth it for us.

It has happened to me twice (booking std view, getting upgraded to CL)! Actually, we were also upgraded a couple weeks ago to a Theme Park view room at GF (we booked lagoon view) and a year ago, we were upgraded to a suite at the Disneyland hotel on my son's B'day. It DOES happen...keep the fantasy alive!

LOL! All of the time! We book CL when we know we want it, but it sure is fun thinking that it may happen!

We stayed at the Poly several years ago, and had a 10day stay as well. My DS and DDIL arrived before us and checked us in. DS is a Sweetie, and the CM offered to upgrade one of the rooms to CL Hawaii, I think. Ahhhh Man!!!!!! He thanked the Cm for the kind offer, but had to decline because they could only move one room. To be honest, I would not have minded if they moved but we had connecting rooms, patio, and we loved that aspect of our stay.

Nope. I just book CL if I want it, but that doesn't stop me from fantasizing that we will be upgrading to a CL suite!!

We had booked a stay at all star movies and when we checked in we were moved to the Beach Club. It was a glorious day, but not so much for the rest of my family who had checked in two days earlier who were still at the all stars. It turns out it was pop warner week and they needed our room for that!
