Anyone ever catch an error in a show?

And at FOTLK in February, the floats weren't cooperating - Simba wound up stuck behind his curtain for a while.

Hey! Am I in the right section?
-SHREECH-

Yes, I'm in the Drapes section, alright!

I remember seeing a stormtrooper ram his head into a door in Star Wars.

And Han Solo totally cups Princess Leia's breast in Return of the Jedi.

(hey, now that Star Wars is part of Disney this is on topic!)

I had to whisper to Goofy that his fly was open at Tusker House once ... There was white stuffing protruding from it, it was quite obvious and no one else wanted to say anything ...

:) I wouldn't have said anything.

Errors happen but it's a shame that there has to be proof sometimes before some people believe it. We all know what the norm is but it didn't surprise me that Disney might have to improvise occasionally.

All of this reminds of some errors during Disney's very first performance of Beauty & the Beast the musical. There was a trap door that got stuck and props and backdrops that rose or dropped at the wrong time. Once the sound got weird. However it was still amazing as the thunderous standing ovation indicated that night. Things happen.

Just because I didn't specify how the transformation scene worked doesn't mean everyone needed to attack me about something they think I had made up. It seems people will do anything nowadays just to start an argument, with people they don't even know, just because the person doesn't know everything about Disney like they do.

I found a video on Youtube of the February 27th performance and they described exactly what happened at my performance, except their dragon didn't come out (that didn't happen for us, that would be weird to watch). Their Mickeys were running onstage rather than through the lift, and the transformation scene also failed on them as well. But of course, they didn't record that section.

Here's the link though.

I'm glad there isn't. I like to read about the background stuff. I have seen Fantasmic! countless times, and I didn't know about much of this I am reading about.

Thanks for starting the conversation.

I do too. I've searched and searched and searched for background information on Fantasmic just because it's so interesting. My friend who was a part of the CP got to do a backstage tour of Fantasmic. She was also the one that came with me to the show last night. She informed me their "backstage" area is two levels underwater because there's a street right behind where they store the boats. I thought that was neat to learn.

Have you ever watched the boat at the end when Mickey appears at the top and sets off the fireworks? Classic stuff

We saw a "live show" of High School Musical in front of the hat at HS about 7 years ago. DD (about 10 at the time) was quick to correct the dancing and singing of the song. When we question her about it now she doesn't remember any of it... I wish we had video.

'm not sure why so many ppl jumped down the OPs throat about it and acted like it wasn't remotely possible and basically called her a liar without any reason to.
I think there are people here (and I suppose on other sites also) who like to think they know all and if others have other thoughts or experiences, they are wrong. :confused3

Thanks, and if this is how everyone responds just because I'm new to learning about Disney and I don't know how certain things work, I won't be coming back
Welcome to the dis, Krista. Most people here are nice and good, some are not. Hang around, you'll see.'s

Thanks for sharing your experience, it was very interesting.

Thumbs up, Dan.

Here's another collection of errors at Disney Parks/Shows

Funny - you just never know what will happen in a live performance! I don't know why, but the toy soldier just cracked me up! The Beast losing his pants reminded me of when DD9 was in a play last year. Her costume skirt was too big so they had a big clip in the back. At some point, she had a wardrobe malfunction and the whole thing just came down around her ankles - she carried on and didn't miss a beat!

We haven't made it to Fantasmic! yet! Hoping to catch it this time around!

While watching Little Mermaid in HS, Prince Eric's dog lost his head, literally. It fell off and rolled away, but he kept acting like a dog going towards the back of the stage. My DD and I were dying laughing.

Just the description of this made me LOL! :rotfl2:
