Anyone ever catch an error in a show?

Wow and here I thought the canoes were on a track somehow as many times when I've seen it some paddles weren't hitting the water. Learn something every day on here.

That eye falling out...that is a way to kick off the cruise pirate:

I am glad this is back on track - I enjoy reading about the mishaps that occur - I do not recall seeing any in all the times I have been... the fires on the boats don't count.. that seems like always.

I really thought so too! And when they did the livestream on the Disney Parks Blog, the oars did not look like they were hitting the water at all, which just reinforced what I'd already assumed.

The video of Mickey's eye had me choking on my drink, OMG!! Way to go, Mickey, for (literally) holding it together and keeping the show going!

I didn't think anyone was really rude to the OP, but a story like that is bound to raise questions. Certainly it is outside the scope of normal expectations, even for a showing with some mistakes. The consensus seems to be that if a show was run as described with boats hitting walls, then something was severely wrong in that the show wasn't stopped immediately. This is a safety issue. It is sad if they are having problems so bad on F! that they have to make these concessions. It's one of my favorite shows.

We've seen some show fails...

Fantasmic! we had no dragon. It's head was clearly visible stuck in the base of the mountain. VERY weird. I think, Maleficent stayed up on the lift but it was a while ago so I may be wrong.

LMA, the stunt guy who was supposed to catch fire never caught fire. He slid across the pavement through the fire and stood up flailing like he was supposed to...but he was not on fire.

Throughout the years of Disney trips we've seen so many malfunctions in shows!
-Last week the dragon didn't make it out in Fant. Maleficent just rose back up on her own
-Ariel's barge rammed into something off track making her almost fall off her rock!
-At Hoop one of the girl's bodice's broke open and another girl had to go on and finish the scene she was supposed to be in
-The ENTIRE "messtival of fantasy" music being not at the right place, the deflated balloon, malificient has run into the car barn's walls a few too many times, or decided she was just done with the parade and gotten stuck. Not sure if it "counts" but any time they think there's a window and send out full parade to discover it's going to start POURING halfway through, always entertaining
-FOLK, the girl bird went up in the earlier part of the finale and it definitely seemed like she hit a speaker or light or something
-MiSi was having speaker glitches last year that the main float was playing the christmas music instead

Not making it to the Magic Kingdom Welcome Show had become somewhat of a family curse. No matter how hard we tried, we just couldn't do it (one time we were on track and the DH lost his contact, so we spent the morning trying to find somewhere where he could get a replacement...).

Anyway, this last Jan. I was determined. I was up at 6:30 a.m., ran to the food court in 38-degree weather to bring back some breakfast and coffee, and laid out everyone's clothes before even waking them up. We ended up making it to the MK with 15 min. to spare. Woohoo!

Well, when we arrived, there was a film crew blocking off the center area where you watch, so everyone else had to be off to the sides. The fire marshall came out with two microphones and neither one worked, so you couldn't hear a word he said. Then Mickey started talking before the train was even in sight, and he arrived just in time for the final countdown (didn't even step off the train). Then the fireworks shot off before the family of the day even came out. However, it turned out the family of the day was a couple from Shanghai associated with the film crew (we saw them filming later in the day in the park, so I'm guessing it had something to do with Shanghai Disney).

I got a lot of "You dragged us out of bed and here for this?!?!?!" looks from DH. It didn't help that it was also one of the coldest mornings we had in FL this winter.

I can just imagine the stunt Guy's train of thought, "Gee, I must have been doing this too long, I don't even feel the flames anymore"

Just because I didn't specify how the transformation scene worked doesn't mean everyone needed to attack me about something they think I had made up. It seems people will do anything nowadays just to start an argument, with people they don't even know, just because the person doesn't know everything about Disney like they do.

I found a video on Youtube of the February 27th performance and they described exactly what happened at my performance, except their dragon didn't come out (that didn't happen for us, that would be weird to watch). Their Mickeys were running onstage rather than through the lift, and the transformation scene also failed on them as well. But of course, they didn't record that section.

Here's the link though.

Just goes to show that some people actually don't "know it all".

I remember seeing this clip on America's Funniest Home Videos a few years ago.

Poor Mr. Lincoln! ;)

The way OP originally described some of it, it was impossible for it to happen. People responded to that since they were confused. Once the OP clarified that up, things were explained. It's over and done. No need to harp on it. Let it go and all of that. Forgive and forget. Hakuna Matata.

I have never seen anything go wrong in a Disney show personally, however, I do work live theatre so I know it happens. Plus it always seems to be a situation where if one thing happens, then other things happen. It can never be a single thing lol. It's just the life of live theatre!

Thanks, and if this is how everyone responds just because I'm new to learning about Disney and I don't know how certain things work, I won't be coming back. :)

Oh my god, give me a break. A couple of people very mildly said that your description didn't make much sense and you're being totally bratty about it.

You may be "learning" but even a couple months on the Dis is enough to learn that there isn't much traction in trying to throw shade at Robo, one of the most helpful and popular members of this board.

Well if I had 88,000 posts I'd be pretty popular too!

Do you think if Robo broke all of the DIS rules he would get banned? Like what if he wrote this thread bashing all politics and all religions and used like racist language would he get banned? Or is Robo more powerful than the moderators? hmmm.......

I once saw a video on youtube (sorry I couldn't find it to link it here) of beauty and the beast live at HS. There's a part where "waiters" push like a food tray across the stage and they jump in the air. Well one of the waiters leaned too much on the food cart and it tipped and rammed him right in the face! There was blood, they had to have CM's run from off stage to help this poor guy up and out of the guests' view.

I'll try to get this back on track. Once saw Off Kilter wearing pants instead of kilts! Error? Or 40 degrees, with wind chill off worlds showcase lagoon?
[Tongue-in-cheek please]!

When I was a kid, my sister and I watched one of the stage shows at MK and Dale took his tail and put it between his legs and ran around stage like he was holding his "PP"....you get the picture. I laughed hysterically given I was a 17 YO boy, while my sister was too young to get it, but I always wondered if that was that Dale's last day at MK.
