Anyone ever catch an error in a show?

Guess what? That just proves it's a LIVE performance! Things happen.

I've seen things happen in Broadway shows before - obviously flubbed lines, moving props malfunctioning, even a drop background crash to the ground due to high wind getting in the rafters.

I've seen a singer who writes her own songs mix up the words in a verse - we all, her included, cracked up.

When you're dealing with humans there will be mistakes, and when you're dealing with technology you're going to get glitches.

Perfection is boring.

Had this happen last night for me...I've watched nearly every Youtube video on Disneyworld's "Fantasmic" - I have seen the show 7 times live, and I can quote the whole thing. It's easily one of my favorite shows at Disney.

Last night though...woof, that was a STRESSFUL ride.

Oh, and the Evil Queen didn't get to switch her robe around when she turned into the Old Lady. So the Old Lady had the sparkly Queen outfit on.

Theeen at the end, the Mickey that comes out and says "Some imagination, huh?" Didn't make it to his place on time, so he said it off to the side of the rock.

That was rough. I can usually catch one or two errors, but the boat linings were off and the main trap door didn't seem to be working, which made the whole show tough to watch.

Wondering if others have had experiences with different Disney shows where they have very obvious errors?

I have to say that most the Fantasmic shows I've seen the last couple of years have had major "malfunctions" or misses. At this point it needs some major attention.

Regarding the bolded, that is not at all how that scene happens at all. There is no two sided costume.

First time I saw Lights Motor Action, when it was a brand new show ...
The cars were zooming around the building and one drove right into one of the buildings. It was clear to me that this was a mistake.
A few moments of awkward, then people running to the car, helping out driver who staggered away.
Director was great at smoothing it over like it was supposed to happen.
I think the audience was believing him until a backhoe came out and lifted the car and took it away.

Lots of glitches happen in live shows and when you've seen them a million times, the glitches can be the best part of the show.

That's why so many of us reacted to the posted description.

In the same way many would react to someone posting that they got on the monorail at MK and got off that train in Epcot.
While the TRIP is possible, it is not possible to accomplish on one train.

I had heard a loud thud while I was waiting for the headless to pass me by during the boo to you parade. Turns out it was his head hitting the ground. Talk about a splitting headache!

Okay .... I normally wouldn't repeat something that had been clearly answered ..... but everyone kept telling her no without any explanation (although a explanation popped up while I was typing)....so I included a video of it happening. My comment was only to explain my video.

And, I was agreeing with you.

I was very surprised the first time I saw the "magical" transformation. If the cauldron was onstage last night, then the Old Hag had to be onstage too.

Checked with my CM friend who is always in a canoe when she does the show and canoes can't go through water screens. There are safety walls to keep the canoes away from the screens.

Other than that, Mickey sometimes does have to run onstage.

I love seeing things that your eye misses, even though it's capable of seeing it, but your camera catches. Years ago we were side of the Mickey stage show in Toontown. At one point Minnie is baking a cake for Mickey. There is activity on stage and big blast of smoke and bam, there is a cake at the front of the stage. When we watched the video tape we did at home we actually saw the cake come out of the oven and slide across the stage. Such a bonus when we watched.

Why would she come on here and make something like that up about that transformation? Here is a comment from another site about this thing and a video clearly showing - as the title says - something has gone awry. Numerous other references from a simple Google search. These 2 are different times and people.

"What you saw was a contingency plan. For every performance, the Queen has the gray wig under her hood. If, for whatever reason, the performer playing the Hag is not there, the Queen herself plays the Hag. During the normal change, she pulls her hood down to reveal the wig and performs both parts. Simply just a backup plan"

While watching Little Mermaid in HS, Prince Eric's dog lost his head, literally. It fell off and rolled away, but he kept acting like a dog going towards the back of the stage. My DD and I were dying laughing.

Well, I don't remember this, but when I was about 5 we were watching the Beauty and the Beast Show at HS and the Beast's head fell off. Also during that show, two birds pooped right on top of my dad and grandaddy's head :rotfl:Bahahaha! We still laugh about that.

This is what our "old hag" looked like during our last trip too. I actually didn't notice until my sister pointed it out, but obviously this is something that does happen. I'm not sure why so many ppl jumped down the OPs throat about it and acted like it wasn't remotely possible and basically called her a liar without any reason to. OP I enjoyed reading your experience and I'm sorry that you were treated so rudely.
