Anyone ever book next trip while in your DVC room?

I just realized that our 7-month window for 2005 February break/vacation opens up in the middle of our SSR trip next week! I thought it was after we returned home.

So if we choose to book day by day, I will be calling MS from the cell phone starting Wednesday morning.

Is there a DVC MS button on the room phone? Wouldn't that be convenient.

I wonder if we can book a trip at the sales center? I am thinking not - they just want to sell points, not manage vacations!

Have you ever booked your next DVC visit in the middle of a current one?!?

I love my DVC!

I've called from the room to add on nights for the current trip because we didn't want to go home. I got them too!

Yes we have done that. I don't think there is a button, but we called the desk and they transferred us to MS. I am pretty sure that was how it worked. My DW and SIL made the calls.

Worse than that....a couple of years ago we were at WDW and I was trying to book a trip with day by day reservations. So yes, I've called from my DVC room....


....and the Hall of Presidents in MK


....and in line for Splash Mountain


....and from Sunset Blvd in MGM


.... and from one of the roads in DAK...don't know the name of it.

That there is a DVC button on the phones @ BCV and SSR. If not a direct line to MS, they will connect you.

I called a couple of times.

After I checked out of my room, I had some tasks to complete and I was able to call MS from the BCV drawing room (the one with the TV)

Saved my cell phone minutes and very convenient.

We did it on our trip last Christmas for this coming Thanksgiving. Makes the trip even more fun when you reserve your next trip while still at WDW.

Not quite from the room but I did e-mail a reservation request from one of the pay-terminals at Epcot last January. My wife thought I was nuts but I didn't want to miss the 7 month window. It all seems worthwhile now since we leave in three weeks!

For any Disney phone numbers, just dial "O" on your room phone and tell the operator you want to be connected to DVC MS. There will be no local phone charge and you'll be taken care of promptly.

Add me to the list............called WDW operator and was connected. I really can't leave until I have the next one planned. It's like ripping a child from the toy store. DH keeps reminding me I'll be back soon, but there's just something about having that next one planned.

We did that this January for the first time. Got our December trip booked.

Like Ceejay, I booked our Dec trip on our trip in Jan. I was calling day by day and forgot to call one day until 2 pm!! But I was still able to get the room I needed thankfully.

We have done this to and you can get connectd via the DVC botton on the phone. We will be doing this again on an upcoming trip.

I had to call from HHI to book a trip to WDW 7 months out.

AND, during the same trip I had to call and make PS's 60 days out for CRT for an upcoming vacation. It sucked waking up so early while on vacation, but I am happy to say I scored CRT!

We were in our room at OKW when the 11 month window opened up and we booked 7 rooms (a Grand Villa, several 2 BR, 1BR and studios) for our DD's wedding!!!! MS also booked our tickets for 32 people to fly from New Jersey to Orlando for the wedding and arranged to deliver the tickets to our OKW room by 5 p.m. that day!!!! They are the greatest!!!!!
