I have never been cold at 85 unless I was sick.

I prefer wearing sweats in the house, and I'm comfortable doing so around 70. In college, one of my roommates kept it at 75 and I was too warm to sleep at night. During the day, I don't care much about the temp, but at night it has to be a little cold

Yup, I'm always cold in my house, unless it's over 90 outside and then it's really hot in here......

Could be hypothyroidism. That was one of my main symptoms (along with a really slow pulse and a low body temperature).

However, when my thryroid used to be out of whack, I'd be cold even if it was 90.

I would third the hypothyroidism. Being cold was one of my symptoms (along with always feeling tired and having a low body temperature). Fixing that is just medication, so it's not to bad.

Maybe your thermometer is broken or you have a medical condition?

You should not be cold when it is 85.

I am always cold (except for those once in a while hot flashes) I had my thyroid checked and it is always normal. My pulse is normal also. I do have a very slow metabolism.
The past few days I have had some problems with cold, and it always seems to be around 6 pm. I feel like ice water is flowing through my veins. I have had to take hot showers to warm up a bit, nothing, not even my heated blanket warms me it is cold from the inside out.
I am going to call my Dr tomorrow and ask for another blood test just to check again.

FWIW my normal body temperature is 97.5 I know most it is around 98.6 and wondering if it is a factor
