Hi everyone!

I'm new to this board and i just kind of stumbled upon it today. I had my interview yesterday and it went amazingly .. but the woman told me i would hear within 4-6 weeks. After reading all of your experiences i went from super confident to really nervous. My interview was about 35 minutes, she asked a lot of questions and she spoke to me for about 5 minutes just explaining the program. I got questions about handling money, customer service, multi-tasking, and ways that ive made a customer feel special. I have a years worth of retail experience and i worked at a resort over the summer so i do have experience. Also, she asked questions for each role that i selected and didnt ask me to pick my top 3 or 2. Are these bad signs? Did anyone else get questions like these and were told 4-6 weeks? Ive become really nervous!

Thanks!

Honestly I think different interviewers are saying different things- people who had short interviews are being told both 4-6 and 2-3 so I don't think it means anything. My interview was like 35 minutes long and I think it went really well (they didn't give me a time frame-I didn't ask) so that's what I'm basing my hopes on. Basically as long as you were able to express how much you love Disney and answered the questions to the best of your ability- especially this early in the recruiting process, then I don't think you need to worry :)

Good Luck!

I think you are reading too much into this. Don't. All it will do is cause confusion and worry.

The site says 4-6. I wouldn't expect anything outside of that window. If it is 2-3, great, you got your stuff earlier than what is stated.

but even if someone is "told" 2-3, they still shouldn't expect it until 4-6.

Notification is stated here:

35 minutes?!? wow! :goodvibes

I interviewed a year ago for spring 09 on the 1st day and it was only 10 minutes but think of it this way: maybe your interviewer was impressed by you and wanted to find out the most they could about you to give you a role they really think you would like!!!

I also agree with everyone about the 4-6 week thing...

All of us spring 09 applicants were told 2-3 and when it hit 5 it seemed like everyone was calling recruiting to see what was going on. People actually got really worried and it was just overall really stressful. Everyone that interviewed right away found out about the same time which was abut the 5-6 week mark :)

I wish you lots and lots of luck and I'm sure you have nothing to worry about !! Now, time to put on the patience and breathe:) I know i know, it's easier said then done, haha! but the wait for that beautiful purple folder is SOOOOOO worth it :goodvibes

I did spring o9 and they told me 3-6 and I got mine in 4. :confused3
But they're also doing email notification this time around....Who knows until we know.

I'm not starting my disney movie marathon until I find out whether or not I got in. haha. Though to be fair I've watched basically a whole lot of Muppets movies, all the Star Wars Movies and Who Framed Roger Rabbit in the last two weeks...all of which have attractions in Disney Theme Parks. haha.

I started a movie marathon before the applications went up! Well, I wouldn't call it a marathon, but I definitely watched them more frequently than I have before. I look forward to continuing to search through my Disney collection!!!!
