Anyone Else Worried About New Adr System?

See, now I thought it was going to be 90 days out after the November 21 date. I didn't think they were going to bring back the 180 days untils the new system is up and running. Anyone know? :confused3

They are not allowing any reservations past February 22 until the new system is up and running.

The tentative date for the new system to be up and running is November 21.

As of November 21 they will be booking up to 180 days out (from that date)

In short - many people will be calling on November 21 for their reservations, regardless of how many days it is til their trip. Some will be 90 days and some will be 180 days - all will be calling on that date.

Does that make more sense? I understand it's convuluded and a tad insane on Disney's part.

Thanks for the Pixie Dust! To answer your question, I think more people know where they want to eat 90 days out than 180 days out. So, there will be A LOT more people calling in at that 90 day window then there would be at the 180 day window for the same day.

I've read this before and I totally disagree. What's the difference between making a dinner reservation 180 days out and 90 days out - each are absurd. That's like saying that a few weeks ago I wasn't sure what I'd want to eat on December 9th, but now that its getting closer, I'm pretty sure I'll feel like chinese on that day.

I do agree that good planners are at a disadvantage with the 90 day system, only because they had such an advantage with the 180 day system. I'd bet a lot of people don't even book their vacation more than 90 days in advance, and even those who do probably don't think about making dinner reservations. So, yeah, the closer it gets, the less of an advantage the good planners have.

You can still get Chef Mickeys,CRT and I believe Victoria and Albert 180 days in advance I have mine fot the 1st week of March.

So you are saying that November 21 (or whatever date they decide) is going to be a complete and utter madhouse in trying to ADR's?? Because everyone from February 22 to 180 days out (which should be around May 21 or something) will be calling on that given day?

Yes, that's what has me worried. I'm traveling the first full week in March and I'll be trying to book ADRs the same day as everyone traveling between 2/22 and 5/21. :scared1:

That is gonna be a madhouse that day! Well that is something. I thought I had to wait till January (90 days out) to make my ADR's. I guess that makes me feel a little better. Just a little though :confused3
