Anyone else worried about fall supplies?

I think hand sanitizer and other classroom items may become scarce again as we hit back-to-school time.

So my local Vons (Safeway) has hand sanitizer in stock but the off-brands. Not even their own generic brand. With all the weird stuff about hand sanitizers from other countries having warnings slapped on them (due to not using the correct type of alcohol), I worry about anything other than the brand names i recognize.

I have yet to see wipes since March...

Wow, just a like a dream....... Aside from the wipes, look at all those cleaning products. I've been in a few stores that the cleaning products are almost wiped out.

Two weeks ago someone at church said they can't find any wipes. I've only been in one store but have looked online 3 billion times and aside from the ones on amazon for $25 per tub of wipes, I don't see any.

SCORE!!!!!

In Von's this morning (7:00 am) and there were 4 canisters of Lysol wipes! A lady was already looking at them and took 1. I took 2 (one for home, one for the RV). Those are the first wipes I've seen ANYWHERE since the beginning of March.

Sadly, I don't know how much I paid for them. I didn't look at the price on the shelf, and the printer on the cash register wasn't printing well. All I can tell is it's in the double digits.

I started looking for wipes for DDIL and a few people at church. Too me, these last few weeks, it's even harder to find them than in the spring. DD says it's because with schools opening, more people are looking for school lists.

After clicking online a bunch of times, I found a 4 pack to be delivered from walmart. So DDIL is done.

I have checked IN walmart twice this week and even though the website says they have them in stock in store, there are none.

I walked into Petsmart today and they had a table full of Lysol wipes and spray. I picked up the spray since I haven't seen it since mid-February.

I was able to order 1oz bottles of Purell Hand Sanitizer from Amazon this week. A 12 pack. They are suppose to arrive on the 6th of August. We like to keep them in the car for use after we go to the grocery store or pet store (pretty much the only places we go these days).

i'm worried that even if i can find supplies i need that the folks who do the packing are either entirely untrained on how to pack them or at the end of their ropes and packing such that items arrive entirely destroyed-

in the past week i've received 3 packages from 2 different vendors (target and amazon) that had damaged/destroyed food products because of improper packing or just flagrant disregard for damaged products in the warehouse. 1st was boxes of couscous that were just stuffed into an unpadded mailing envelope-when they arrived i opened......a bag of couscous (crushed boxes will spilled out contents), 2nd was a box of hamburger helper boxes that had to have been damaged when they were put in the mailing box (crushed boxes that also spilled out contents), 3rd (and worst)-10 bottles of pasta sauce that were wrapped in flimsy paper (no tape on lids or plastic bagging) that were put into a box-with no packing material. i opened the box to find broken jars and a box of pasta sauce i'm just so glad it was the last box i opened so i was paranoid and opened it in the garage vs. in my house-much easier to clean up and dispose of.

About a month ago our Walmart had one of those huge cardboard boxes that they display watermelons in full of Great Value brand 1 ounce sanitizer. At least here, everything is pretty much back to normal with TP, sanitizer, and wipes. And every store has huge displays of face masks.

Who said stalking is a bad thing.??? Last week I found two packs of wipes (a 3 pack of clorox and 4 pack of lysol) on walmart .com. Had to do two separate orders (and I added more to not pay shipping). Today I found 3 packs of clorox on amazon. The price of each was higher than BJ but not crazy. Roughly $3.50 to $4.00 per tub.

For Walmart, I had a cart set up , so when I saw it was in stock, I added it to cart and hit buy. For amazon, I had to go through the see product, add to cart, hit buy, cart empty, see product, add to cart, aannnddd repeat about 10 times before I got one.

But now I've helped, DDIL, someone at church and my sister. This counts as a good deed for a month , right???

Me, I have about 8 packs, I feel I have enough.

Was at Target this morning. Saw a guy walk by with a canister of wipes. Went to check the cleaning aisle. Many house brand (Up & Up) wipes (75 count). $3.99. With a sign limiting everyone to one item. So we now have 2 canisters here at home.

Still don't have them here. I just looked up a recipe this past week to make my own, since I do have some bleach at home. I'm saving my canisters to re-use.

Was just coming to post that. What we have at our home we're good and don't plan on buying more. I completely feel for those who need them on a more daily basis as we don't use them that frequently.

Of course bleach and paper towels, which are readily available, will do the same job.

Not everyone, including me, wants to use bleach all the time. Clorox wipes don't have bleach.

Using bleach (for me) means that I'm going to have bleach spots on my clothes. I just can't seem to use the product without splashing......
