This show ROCKS!! Geena Davis is completely perfect for this role. Only three eps in and I am already hooked!

Oh yeah! She ROCKS! Have you ever seen "The Long Kiss Goodnight"? She rocks in that too. That is one of my favorite movies so I was VERY excited to see that she would be staring in this show.

Today I got a DVR just for nights like this. :flower: Thankfully it "records" the last hour or so that I've been watching. A friend called about 9:20 and wanted to chat for a while. Thank goodness for my new little box because I'm watching it again catching all I missed out on the phone call.

I'm really enjoying this show. I love her Vice President, too, Peter Coyote is pretty good in this role. Donald Sutherland is the perfect Canadian for the role. Why doesn't someone tell him he can't be president? ;)

This is a very good show. Think Bush is watching? Maybe he should.

we're taping it. we like it too!! missed last weeks.

I absolutely LOVE this show.

The AM Talk Radio thinks that this show will help Hilary Clinton win the 2008 Presidential elections.

They were talking on TV this morning about Condi VS Hilary in 2008.

So tonight's show was good? I missed it. I thought I had a season pass set on tivo, but I guess not. Can anyone give a recap?

I like the show, but I think it wraps things up a little bit too quickly...and a little too postively for the President. Granted, we've only seen three episodes, but I hope that something doesn't go President Allen's way. I have to admit that I didn't like the first episode, but I wanted to give it another chance and I'm glad I did. I've enjoyed these last two episodes.

Eight D.E.A. agents (Drug Enforcement Agency? I think?) are killed in some South American country. President Allen in upset that nothing can seem to happen without tons of bureaucratic stuff, so she decides to essentially invade the country, overtake the dictator (who was responsible for the agents' deaths), and reinstate the democratically elected president. She succeeds.

Meanwhile, the First Gentleman is overstepping his bounds by interviewing the new V.P. to help him prepare for his Congressional hearings. Donald Sutherland's character tells the Prez that he has something on the new V.P., but he won't tell her.

The youngest daughter realizes that Mom may not always be there for her. The two older kids head off to school. Brother doesn't have any issues with the media being there, but middle daughter does (plus, she has no friends at the school, with only her brother sitting with her at lunch). At the end of the episode, she asks her mom to go to a private school with all the senators' sons and daughters, but Mom seems reluctant.

Yeah, this show is very good! My DW and I make sure we watch it every Tuesday night...

I caught it for the first time last night. It was interesting, but if I have to say a bit predicatable.

I love Kyle Secor, but to see him as the first gentlemen is well, a bit contrived. I just knew he was going to ask that other woman to the art auxilary speech while he did something more "meatier" in his eyes. (Who was that lady anyway? The former first lady?)

I thought the part about the two littler kids looking at painting in the White house with thier nannies a bit well trite. Did that need to be there?

I did like the part when she went to the press room and said Nobody messes with my kids!

And Bravo to her with her kids in public school! The middle child seems a bit of a spoiled brat, IMHO.

Found the show to be very boring and not worth watching. Seems like a waste of good film.

It's surely a great show.

We didn't plan on watching it because it is on up against Amazing Race, House, Bones, and My Name is Earl. However, we caught it on Saturday two weeks in a row (and then ABC messed up and showed DH in CiC's slot last Saturday, so we missed that episode). Anyway, we're hooked. Amazing Race goes in the trash heap.

Yes, that's the former First Lady. In the first episode, she says to Geena Davis that she'll pack up and move out as soon as possible and she tells her to stay as long as she needs, so the past couple episodes she just sort of shows up every now and then, as if wandering through the White House aimlessly. It's a pretty odd storyline in the show right now.

The daughter gets on my nerves though. Seems like she would have a tad bit more of a loving side towards her own mother.

I saw it for the first time last night. I thought it was great.

He's playing his evil twin. He hates Republicans.

Haven't seen it but I'm curious as to why it's a great show. Acting? Content?
Do you think the media might be peddling some soft propaganda to set us up for a woman (Hillary) as president?
