Just wanting to see if anyone else is also impatient for new AP rates to come out.

Oh well, misery loves company right?

I gave up on them and modifying my May trip. I can't believe they are not released yet. I just don't feel the love as a passholder lately.

:surfweb: I'm interested in them. IF they become available.

I agree, after sending out pins to select passholders and no general offer for AP holders I am beginning to believe they think we will come and stay without a discount so they don't care.

We're waiting as well. Luckily my dm got a pin code for 40% off rooms and booked them just last week. (So I don't think we really need it now.) However, I have to say I'm not sure we will be renewing our AP if there aren't discounts released. That was one of the major perks and if it isn't going to be as regular neither will our trips. Sad day in our household!

We're checking in on May 29th with 35% off AKV-Kidani, so we do have a discount, but maybe the AP discount would be a little higher? Who knows, but when I check the public code for my dates, the pickings are getting slim, so I'm not sure what I'd be able to get with an AP code anyways. :guilty:

I am hoping for something for April 28 - May 4th. Have a value booked at 30% off put want to add dining to an AP room.

Those would've been my dates. Got tire of waiting, so changed to only using my DVC points and arriving Monday, May 2nd now. I had planned to come in on Friday or Saturday prior. I don't like that the GP folks are all getting the discounts and deals and we get the leftovers. I wish they would make the passholder program more of a priority -- wouldn't it be nice to see an updated passholder website every month!

I'm waiting for something for July. If it doesn't happen, I guess we'll rent points again. Ughhhhhhhh......seriously Disney needs to think about their most valued and devoted (or slightly obsessed) guests! ;)

I am seriously thinking of staying off-site. DH has a conference at the Gaylord Palms and we were going to move to CBR or AKL depending on rates after his conference, but we may continue on at the Palms if there are no AP rates available.

According to Mousesavers AP rates for May were released on 2/20/08, 2/18/09 and 1/1/10. So later than last year but not too late compared to 08 & 09. Them releasing AP rates this late is really nothing new. I've been an AP holder off & on since 2004 and almost always book with a AAA or general public code first and then change to AP when/if available.

I have a trip booked for 5/11 to 5/18 under a friend's Pin but will see if APs are any better. We've got 35% off deluxe.

As I mentioned in another thread...DW heard from a reservations CM that AP discounts for our May trip would be available in March.

We're waiting too but looking at booking with the General Discount and then switching to the AP one when it comes out.

The only problem with this is that some of us have already booked pkgs using the GP discounts. The balance for those pkgs are due in mid March. If we make any changes after that date we'll be charged a change fee. I know I went ahead and booked the pkg with one day park tickets, so we could add the DDP. We planned on not only getting a slightly better room discount, but also on dropping those one day park tickets we don't need. If the AP discounts don't come out until sometime later in March then we'll have to pay the change fee. I purposely left a $400.00 balance knowing that would be about the difference between my current pkg and the AP discount. I'm also a little concerned because the AP PIN codes that came out a few months ago had my dates (April 30th-May 8th) blacked out.

My thinking is there not in too much of a rush to release the AP rates for this time period being that there is already a fairly decent discount (the 35% you mention) public discount.
It would be nice if they "upped" that to 40 % or more for AP's..but I don't anticipate there going much higher than that.

Thanks for sharing this idea. I was holding off doing a room only with the GP discount because I didn't want to have to deal with having to refund and pay when I switched to a package with the AP rate.

I was starting to get antsy because it seemed the GP rate was booking up at the Pop. For a long time they had both preferred rooms as well as standard. I noticed the other day only standard rooms were available. While I don't want to have to purchase the 1 day base tickets, I wanted to make sure I have a discount.

I know I'm was probably getting worried unnecessary because since 2000 I have only seen once that there was a period where there was no AP discount. That was a September about 3 or 4 years ago. I just wanted something solid on the books so I could start planning.

So now I am booked for June. Still hoping and waiting on the AP rate and when that comes out I will apply it and pay in full. Now I can relax a little and the concrete planning starts. I am getting excited!!! :)
