I'm counting down the sleeps to November 8th. I figure I will check in everyday this week at 10 and 10:30 just to make sure I don't miss it.:surfweb:

I too am waiting for SWA to open up the rest of March. However, I am not holding my breath that SW will actually release their schedule on Nov. 8th. The last couple of releases were delayed a day or 2. I will be pleasantly surprised if they actually release on time.

Keep checking the SWA website under Special Offers to check the release date.

me too! I just convinced DH that we could take an adult only trip before our AP expire at the end of April! :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I'm curious...why 10 and 10:30? AM? PM? I'm waiting for the schedule too and don't want to miss anything!

I was waiting, but couldn't take the suspense. I needed to book one way tickets from Orlando to Indy for DS and myself (we are driving down with DH, but coming home earlier than he is ~ he's staying to help our friend that lives in Orlando with some home repairs). We are flying home on 3/27. With it being Easter week and Spring Break I was getting nervous about flight availability and prices. On Friday I was checking AirTran. The flight I wanted (7 pm non-stop) only had three seats left at the cheapest price. It was a bit more than I had hoped to pay, but the peace of mind knowing that I got the exact day and time that I wanted was well worth it. I am waiting to book my mom and dad's flight home from their winter stay in Florida. They like SWA, so I'll be checking their website on 11/8. Good luck to everyone waiting :)!!

I am waiting too! I am anxious for Thursday to be here, but I am nervous too. I hope the rates are affordable. The last set of rates were sky high. They opened at $165 each way!!!!! They did go down just last week so I have a credit, but the problem is I want to fly during the kids school vacation week, so I have a lot of competition. I am willing to be somewhat flexible with my schedule, but I hope that I do not have to be. I want to maximize my time in WDW without having the kids miss more then 2 days of school. Come on SW bring on the low fares.

If you keep your eyes on the Dis, someone usually posts it shortly after the schedule opens.

Also, if you have Ding! downloaded, you will get a Ding! with a message that the schedule has opened.

Count me in! Waiting to book for our April trip out of BDL and hoping for reasonable rates! I didn't realize the last couple releases were delayed. I just want to get this over with on Thurs!

Waiting so I can book our trip in May. Fingers crossed they're affordable so I don't have to rebook and get a credit I'll never use!

I'm sorta hoping they are delayed until Friday. We have parent teacher conferences on Thurs. and my appt. is at 12:45. "Uh, sorry, I can't make the conference. Southwest just released it's March rates."

When do they typically post if they are going to delay the relaese?

I am waiting for a good ding for mid-Jan. Flights are still over $200 and I just can't book it yet for fear of a better deal.

Hang in there all - we'll get there one way or another! :rolleyes1

Waiting here as well............:surfweb: I will be booking our flights from SDF to MCO the night before our DCL panama canal cruise. I expect there will be quite a few Diser's doing the same if they fly Southwest. Our cruise leaves on Sat 5/10 and as luck would have it, SW's schedule will be open through 5/9. I'll be booking (8) seats on the 4:10pm flight 5/9.

I'll be at work but plan to take a quick break just as soon as the dates are released so that I know I will get the flight we want. SW only has (3) flights from SDF to MCO on Friday, so I difinitely hope to get the 4:10pm flight that is N/S with a flight time of 2 hours and 5 minutes. Otherwise we would fly out at 4:20 with a stop in BHM resulting in the flight taking 5 hours and 10 minutes.:scared1:

I expect the flights to be pricey when first released, but I'll be keeping an eye on my Dings for a lower price between now and May.

Good luck to everyone, I hope you get the flights you want.pixiedust:

Can you clarify for me what is the difference with listed prices on SW. Promotional, Discount, Internet.

If I book with discount and the price goes down can I still get a credit. Why wouldnt everyone book discount.?

I am patiently waiting, looking for April.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Yes, if you book a discount fare and a lower one becomes available you can get a credit. I made reservations in August for early March, I booked a "Promotional" fare because at the time it was the lowest available. A couple of weeks later, a lower "internet" fare became available. I was able to book the lower fare and get a credit. Later, the "internet" fares went away and now the cheapest fare for my flight is the fully-refundable.

You book the cheapest fare that shows up and then watch for sales, internet specials, discount and "ding" fares. The only difference may be advance purchase requirements or certain dates.

The credit is not to your credit card (although that did happen in the past to some people), it is a credit good for travel within a year. I don't plan on travelling after that for quite some time (at least not within the next year) so the credit would be worthless to me.
