IIRC, Georgia is the only state that has a general election runoff. Louisiana has a system that's a bit different but I don't think they have any major races still going. If they do, it's not today (at least not that I've heard; most of the focus is on GA).
What do the polls say in GA? Does Martin have a chance of beating Chambliss (please say yes)? I know in 1992 Coverdell's victory over Fowler was attributed partially to Libertarians supporting Coverdell in the runoff.
At least GA isn't like VA. We're in a perpetual state of campaigning here. We have a governor's race in 2009, along with other statewide offices and the general assembly. Then in 2010 the midterm Congressional races, 2011 the midterm general assembly races, and then Presidential in 2012.
I swear, the VA state flower should be the political yard sign.
The polls have Chambliss up from 2 - 6 points. I truly believe he'll win because the turn out will not be what it was Nov 4th.
I am sooooo sick of robo calls. I got about 6 a day and the commercials are WAY WORSE than the general election. Last night the ads were so gross I ended up watching PBS. :scared?
Yep, I'm in GA & cast my vote this morning for Chambliss.
A pollworker commented to me that they'd already had nearly 100 votors already (this was around 7:45). She said during the last run-off they didn't even have 100 people all day long.
