MJTM610, it is only day 4. Bring your own aspirin along with your water when you evacuate. People cannot expect the FED, State, and Local governments to do it all. They were told to GET OUT. Many, many people ignore the warnings, they raise **** when everything goes wrong. They're saying "two days, no food" they were told to bring food. My God, bring pop tarts and granola bars if nothing else. This is not impossible to do, even if you're poverty stricken. This situation is miserable for everyone who has ever been through a hurricane. It's hot. I don't know about where you are, but it has been well over 100 degrees down here for weeks. We're all hot rich or poor, young or old, it's miserable. Unless you've ever been down here in the summer time, you cannot imagine how hot it can get, then add to that rain and the general, everyday humidity. It's like an oven. Yes, we're all miserable. When it rains, sometimes the sewage backs up. You have no idea how much it rains down here. We've had more than 100 inches of rain this year NOT COUNTING HURRICANE Katrina. But when the power goes out, we don't turn on each other and shoot and riot and loot. We do the best we can. That's life when you live down here, or along the Atlantic coast. Hello?!?!?!? You get DAYS of warning to get ready, even though we may not know exactly where it may hit. They were told two days ahead of time it was moving their way. It got all of us. It was this bad during Camille, Frederick, and who knows how many other storms between then and now. It stinks for weeks, months, and years. It's going to be like this for a long, long time.
