Anyone else upset about gov't response

I have learned that the leadership of this country is incapable of handling a major disaster of this magnitude.. I have learned that their response is inadequate and extremely slow..

I have learned that in the face of another disaster of this magnitude people should NOT rely on the government to come to their aid..

I have learned that our government can save people in other countries - spare no expense - rush to their aid - but they fail when it comes to their own..

I have learned that I don't live in the kind of country that I thought I did..

Sorry - while I agree that it is good for us all to learn to make the best plan of action we can to protect ourselves without anticipating that the government will be able to provide what we need...I also don't believe that when the U.S. "rushed to the aid" of other nations in the past that we were able to provide them more aid and quicker aid when circumstances were at all comparable.

Maybe I'm wrong. Maybe in the past we were able to get plentiful food and water to tens of thousands of people in a flooded community within three days. If we have, please correct me.

We are now FIVE DAYS into this disaster and people are still without food and water..
