Anyone else try the Rewardtv shopping spree yesterday?

Hi everyone,
I just started doing Rewardtv in October and was saving up points to do one of their auctions. I saw on Wednesday that they had this new shopping spree to redeem your points and since I had enough to get one of the $10.00 rewards I decided to try for it. I logged in a few minutes before the auction and then couldn't figure out how to access the shopping spree. Clicking on the shopping spree button at the top of the rewards page just brought up the schedule and clicking on the "how it works" part kept linking me to the sweepstakes gift certificates. Am I just missing something or is it a problem with the site/program? I tried for about 20 minutes before giving up since I figured all the rewards were surely gone by then anyway. Anyone else ever have problems with Rewardtv? Thanks .

If you clicked on the Shopping Spree button on top, eventually the shopping spree icons did show up at the bottom of the list of sweepstakes, along with that annoying window up top. However, RewardTV had problems with too many people logging in at the time of the shopping spree (duh), and the system momentarily crashed, so rewards werel still available 1/2 hour past 4:00 pm Eastern. Hopefully by the next time they do this, they'll have made adjustments to the system.

I'm lost. What exactly is this shopping spree? I haven't figured out RewardTV quite yet.

DisneyCub was this an auction or could you redeem you pts for GC's ?

Mal- I didn't know about it either. I think it was an instant redemption. Hope they come back on a regular basis.

The shopping spree was not an auction but rather a way to cash in your points for gift cert. -- I guess instant redemption. It is new and there is supposed to be one every week. This weeks was on Thursday 12/12 at 4:00 pm. The rewards they were giving out this week were 15 $10.00 walmart gift cert. 300,000 points each, 15 $10.00 amazon.com gift cert. 300,000 points each, and 50 $5.00 Taco Bell gift cert. 150,000 points each. It was first come, first serve. If you click on to the rewards page, "shopping spree" is now listed. Thanks for the info. Disneycub. I thought I was just missing something but hopefully I'll have better luck next time .

actually this is not new this is the way RTV used to always do redemptions.

I have not done RTV on a regular basis since they quit doing this.Glad to know it is back.

To anyone who got the email when are the redemption dates?

I was so frustrated when it crashed but it was back up 30 min later and it said I will be getting a Taco Bell gift check!!! I surely hope they will do one a week - no new dates posted yet

No email here either. I'd guess they'll post the dates on Mondays again and we'll all crash errrrrrr get a change to raise our BP and practice our fastest typing skills in order to be one step away from cashing in when the site crashes. Then go in 15 minutes later and order what we wanted quite leisurely.

I don't think they did an e-mail about it. I just happened upon it on Wed. while looking around to see if I had enough points for something. It sure does seem like a better way to use those points.

Please post it next time. I too had stopped spending the time to do RTV when they changed the redemptions. I might start doing it again if they went back.
