Anyone else thinking of taking their kids to the US for a booster?

You can’t just pay for it?

No. No one pays for it. It's free, but you have to provide all your insurance information. It is free is you don't have insurance, but by making that claim, you have to still be a US Citizen and you have to sign an affidavit under penalty of perjury that you do not have ANY type of either private or government insurance. Places that give the vaccines/boosters have no way way charge people for it. They bill insurance or the US government.

Ah...I see there are a couple US states that will give vaccines to people without requiring proof of state residency. In my state, you absolutely have to prove you live here to get one.

We are on the fence. We are going down in mid February (fingers and toes crossed), and our 16 year old really wants to get the booster. I know she would be much more comfortable with in person learning if she has the booster. There hasn't been a peep about this age group getting the booster any time soon from all the searching I have been doing the last few weeks to see if it's on the way. I'm just concerned about her having side effects while we are down there, or when we fly home. I have to see her doctor at the end of this month so I will discuss it with her then to get her thoughts.
