But isn't it more of a port than a planet? I suppose planet has a better ring but I would be happy if the actual pizza was a little better!
What would really make me happy would be a return of a classic TML attraction like the Adventure Through Inner Space or The Flight To The Moon or it's successor DL's Mission To Mars... but yeah I know, I'm not holding my breath. It will never happen.
They have a pizza planet in DHS. It is really pizza and videos games. Not a lot of games but some kind of central in the dining area. It's not too bad but my son didn't see the similarity. From the outside it is unforunatly a pretty plane building not like we saw in Toy Story.
The usage of the word "port" might be a tribute to a project Walt Disney proposed in 1965 called "Space Port", which would eventually become Space Mountain, opening in May 1977.
Thought that was interesting and is exactly one of the things about Disneyland Park I love the most; the endless references, homages and tributes scattered throughout the park. Disneyland park has the unique element of having so many ties to the man himself, something no other Disney park can claim, and this very well may be another one of those subtle nods to the past. The more you know about the history of DL the more you realize it is indeed in many ways alive and well, all around Walt's playground.
We always call it Pizza Planet, too. LOL ITA! It would be super cool if they would make a counter service rest. in Tomorrowland identical to the one in Toy Story.
No I dont, because they have pizza planet at DHS. I like that they have different things at the different parks...if they were all the same there'd be no reason to visit them all.
I agree that this should not be Pizza Planet. Although I do agree that the theme would fit in well with the surrounding, we already have a pizza planet at Disney Studios in Orlando and it is...well, disappointing.
ALL the changes at DCA seem to be geared towards pixar. Which is fine, I love Pixar, and there isn't as much history in DCA, but this is still DISNEYland we're talking about.
I'm still trying to get over the wonderful Aladdin show being replaced by Toy Story fare.
