Anyone else think DVC will rethink Kidani/no CS?

I think that at some point within the first year, DVC will rethink not having a CS option at Kidani Village and somehow reconfigure things to install a CS place there. Sort of like at SSR (although TS there). They started out with no TS option, claiming that it wasn't necessary because of the proximity of DTD. Then, within about a year, they rethought it and revised the Turf Club to be TS. Does anyone else suspect that this type of thing will happen at Kidani, and they'll add a CS option there? This time, when they say "In response to our Members' requests...", I'll believe them!

One thing Disney is good at is getting us to spend $$ at their parks and resorts. After analysis of Kidani guests spending habits and profits at Sanaa, I am sure they will revisit this question.

I tend to believe that DVC (actually I think it is more of a Disney decision)does not really care about maximizing CS revenues at the DVC resorts as they are "competing" with too many in-room kitchens.

Yes, I am a CS fan because CS allows me more time to enjoy more of my vacation. But, because of the generally small CS selections I changed my eating patterns to more utilize in-park options, or more in-room breakfasts...

SSR addding a sit-down restaurant was more of an upscale decision (befitting DVC's image better). AP at SSR is way, way too crowded for the resort population, but they have not announced any plan to help that AP situation (even by adding breakfast at TC) I'm not sure if DVC management would ever want to fight for a food-court that those "lesser" properties enjoy..

I'd just like an easy walkway connecting Kidani and Jambo - don't need a CS but I would like to move between the two resorts easily.

I like Jambo a whole lot - and I like Kidani. Neither of them (IMHO) offer a "total experience" - but together, you've got an incredible resort with everything. Sanaa looks awesome just the way it is - potentially it could be one of my very favorite restaurants on WDW property because I absolutely adore the style of ethnic foods they are mixing.

I don't want to feel like it's a choice between Kidani or Jambo - I want to experience the best of both worlds!!!!!!!

It would not bother me at all to walk to Mara for CS or to walk to Kidani for the community hall. I just hate having to wait for a bus!

I think if they do add a CS, it will be to accommodate those that have the DDP, especially those that have the QS version. Kind of hard to market a QS plan, if there is not QS option. But, then again, they could fall back on premade sandwiches and items being available in the resort stores refrigerator section, much like some of the items in the food court refrigerator sections. Lower cost that way, and still filling any need, than staffing a new grill area.

I think with the food at the pool bar, the pre-packaged food in the gift shop, and bus service to Jambo (to The Mara) they will not add a QS restaurant at Kidani.
