I am amazed at how little we built up over the past 6-8 months. What a joke! I'm canceling it tomorrow.

It's rare to find a card that actually gives you more than 1% back. Although American Express will sometimes give double and triple miles on their Delta cards for certain purchases. But the fee is high.

I totally agree the card is a joke. We have several other cards that give us greater rewards back. We have an airlines card that we are dedicated to using. It gives us one point for every $2.00 we spend. Our Disney card is nothing more than just another credit card. I don’t know if Disney thought we would all be that gullible or what.

Most of the no fee cards I've seen give 1%. I would hang onto the card, just don't use it if you don't want to. They recently had room discounts that were less than the public code (but more than AP rates). You never know when a promo might come along for something Disney.

I think it depends on what you use it for. When we were looking for a loan for our DVC, I called both my bank and Tammac, and they said, "9.95% for 5 years". I called Disney Credit card, and they said, "Sure, we'll increase your limit to cover the cost of your DVC...we'll transfer the money into your checking account in 3-5 days...and, that will only be 4.9% interest for the life of the loan."

Needless to say...I LOVE my Disney Credit Card!!!!!

The real joke is they do not even offer it to Canadians since Bank One is not licensed to do business in Canada

thanks

We tried to do the same thing by to get the 4.9% and they said they dont do that.

We put our DVC purchase on the card and got $218 to spend during our January trip. We get the same return on our Citibank Drivers Edge card, and even less on some of the others. Only one with more return is a GM card that gives 5% only up to $500. The only offers we've gotten for airline miles have cost $95/yearly fee. We are keeping our Disney Visa.

That's really odd! We just did this last week! When did you try?

I kinda like it. Got $135 off my annual pass renewal last September.

We called four weeks ago and were told they wouldnt do that unless we were transferring from one credit card to this one.

I'm sorry to hear that. Did you get those convenience checks? Those are good until the end of May, and that would give you 5.9% for the life of the loan? Those even say you can write them to yourself for cash?

I like the card. 1 % is pretty typical for no fee cards. It is colorful and fun and use it to buy coffee at Starbucks and other small items. I get at least one reward dollar a month.

For big purchases I earn airline miles on United Visa. I pay $60 a year for that priviledge so it is important that most of my charges go there.

I purchased annual pass vouchers before the end of the year so we could use our Disney Club Card for the discount and we had already built up $232 on the Disney Rewards that almost paid for DD annual pass.

We have built up another $61.00 and from now until June something we earn double rewards. We head back to WDW at the end of August so we'll see how much we have by then!:smooth:

I use this credit card exclusively and Delta frequent flier for our airline tickets. So, between the two I feel we are doing pretty good.

Sorry, you are not happy with the card:(

I don't really think the Disney Visa is a joke, we all knew what the "reward" was when we signed the dotted line. However, this garbage with parsing out special offers to some cardholders and not all, goes totally against the original and continual marketing promise of charter member benefits. There is no apparent method to those cardholders who receive the bonus earnings and those who don't. If I had to make major purchases and knew a close friend who I could benefit by giving them the money and let them make the purchase and earn the double reward, I'd do it in a second.

I like the card and the cash to use at Disney. It is better than my AE Delta sky miles card that gives me miles I can never find a flight to use for. Discover gives us cash back, but I like my Disney cash. I am very happy with our card.

I love mine! :D We have got special resort offers and built up a good bit to spend on our trips. I am about to move some over to my reward card for next week. And starting yesterday until the end of June we are getting Double rewards (2%) for everything over $150. :D Time to order that new computer anyway! ;)

They came out with great rates for DisneyVisa card holders that are also florida residents. Taking advatage of that next month!

Sorry to hear that... this one is the best free card I've seen. I admit I've racked up quite a few dollars on this already (over $150 at least by now in less than a year). I know I've accidentally stumbled on times where they did the more than 1% back and the discount codes out for trips were amazing last I looked. Hanging on to this one for sure!

I love my Disney VISA. I took $27 off the cost of two FL resident Play 4 passes in Jan. Then in May when I upgrade to seasonal passes I can apply about $50 to those. Disney usually has FL resident rate for hotels but if you are a FL resident AND a Disney VISA card holder the rates are even lower.
I've got 4 free airline tickets that I'll probably never use so I don't want a credit card that racks up air miles.
