Anyone else receive a "Merry Member Mixer" invite with their Vacation Magic?

Ooh, cool. I was one of the people who couldn't take part of the summertime member events, so I'm glad I'll be there for the December 14th "mixer".

I hope dvcmember.com posts the info before the first mixer. LOL!

I just got mine in the mail. I too almost missed it when I took out the VM. Also checked the DVC site with no luck, so that is why they came here. We will be there for the 7th, but that is the day we are doing MVMCP, hope we can do both!

Just talked to Member Services...he said the info should be on the site tonight.

It is from 3pm - 5pm on the dates outside the International Gateway to Epcot. There will be entertainment and refreshments. Bring your family to mix and mingle with fellow DVC Members.

We are doing AK that day and then MVMCP so not sure I will make it although sounds like fun!

We arrive on the 7th, we're driving, so depending on weather and road conditions we may be there. We'll also be there for the 14th if we miss the first one.

Got the Winter VM today and just before I threw the envelope away I noticed another item still inside. It was an invite to the first annual MMM. It's being held on 12-7,14,21 and 28th. I have to log onto DVC site to find the time and location. Sounds pretty cool: "We're decking the halls and sharing a cup of holiday cheer during our first ever holiday Member get-together" yada,yada,yada, "refreshments will be served".

We'll probably attend.

Got our invite today too. Spent 1/2 hour searching thru the website to get info like the rest of you. We have ressies for MVMCP that night along w/ dinners ressies for LTT at 5:30 on December 14th. We'll be staying at the BWV so I wonder if we can stop by before catching the bus for MK. I'll be checking the site later on tonite like the rest of you.

Go on the DVC member site and click on Just for Members, then click on Member Special Events, then click on Merry Member Mixer and it gives you the dates, times and location.

We will be there for the 7th, but that is the day we are doing MVMCP, hope we can do both!

We are also doing MVMCP on the 7th. I think we can swing this party at 3ish, then head to the Poly for dinner at 5, then off to MK! We are staying at BCV, so it should be doable.

We'll probably stop by on the 7th - doing AK in the morning with lunch at RFC - then back to BWV for a swim/nap - we can pop over at 3, 3:30 before heading over to MVMCP (or to Osbourne lights, then MVMCP, we'll see when we get there)!!! Can I assume that my 'guests' (my sister and our nephew,7 ) will be welcome also and not just members with cards - what have they done in the past ? - Hope to see some of you there !

I had always wondered about that area behind Int'l Gateway - CM told me once that they held special events/parties there - they can also unload buses/trucks in that area - great location for us this trip !

In with Vacation Magic - there was a card to invite to a weekly Merry Member Mixer and said to check out dvcmember.com for time and location details. Can't find anything there!!! Guess the website is slower than snail mail!

Yes, I have never found anything on that web site that the magazine says to look for there. And if I call Member Services, they will direct you to the web site for things that aren't there too! We got one of those surveys a couple of months ago, and that was the one call out I had for them, that their web site is useless. Thank goodness for the DIS web site!!!

I hope they make the mixer an annual thing, because we won't be there this year but probably will be next year. Would you believe, the only Christmas we ever spent at WDW was last year, the year they didn't have the Osborne lights? It was still a great trip, but I want to go back.

We'll plan on being there on the 7th - will try to find some of my green DIS stuff. Otherwise, look for someone with pure white hair who looks like the Fairy Godmother.

We are going on the Backstage Magic tour and finish at Epcot around 4. We have a PS for 6:20 at the GF, so we'll have some time to stop and say hello.

Hopefully we'll be at the Dec 7 one! I hope it's open to our guests too, but I understand if it isn't. I'd feel funny telling my parents who are staying with us that they can't come. They would understand but I'd feel a little bad.

Where did you find it on the website? I must be blind, I can't find anything about it. Thanks for the info!
