Guilty. I used to work for Bang and Olufsen and was back then first exposed to AIR and Zero 7. I fell in love with them! Especially Zero 7!

You would probably be familiar with "Destiny" or "Home" by Zero 7 or "La Femme d'Argent" or "All I Need" by AIR...

Your turn!

I was going to say the Beatles - but now I see that is not really your question. 😉

Yes....Cold Play. Their concerts are incredible and sold out worldwide in moments! Going to see them end of September in their 3 So Cal shows!

I was never a fan of Taylor Swift until I caught some of her concert on Tiktok Live. Now I am a full blown Swiftie. Does that count?

I've been extremely sentimental lately, maybe because I just had a milestone birthday. I have been binge watching and listening to youtube videos of a major 70's band, Back in the mid 70s when I went to L.A. with 2 musician friends, while they were playing at a dive, I hung out with one of the members of this 70's band that I met through my friends' friend. For three days he and I hung out while my friends were "partying/playing". He was a very kind soul but he was going on tour, I was going back home. His band along with every other one was known for drugs/alcohol and I did neither. Back then we didn't have the internet, youtube, MTV so unless you bought their albums or read something on teen beat, you didn't really recognize them or know their personalities. I'm just remorseful that I never got to see him play live and never will be able to.,,On a brighter side, I got married shortly after and had 4 wonderful kids. Watching these old videos, he sure had those bedroom eyes while singing, dang! Good times

I haven't been "obsessed" with a band since I was probably in my teens and early 20s. I mean, I still enjoy music, but I don't get obsessed with things like that anymore. Must be a downside of aging, lol. For me, though, it used to be Led Zeppelin, Rush, and quite a few more. I would fixate on all their music for a LONG time. I still have all that stuff and still love it, but I don't have the obsessions I used to get--kinda sad really! My adult son is a Swiftie. To the point that he's traveling for her shows.

I was a huge fan of the band a-ha (Take on Me) in the mid-later 80's. :rockband: They had released 2 albums here and I had both of them and knew every word of all the songs. My 12-14 or so year old self was MADLY in love with the lead singer, Morten Harket. Ohhh he was gorgeous. Sadly they all but dropped off the face of the earth in the late 80's and you just never heard anything more about them. I thought they were long gone, the "One hit wonders" that everyone thought they were. Take on Me was never my favorite song, it's a great song but I always loved all of the other ones more, they really had so many great ones. So in January 2018 and I was in the car and I was flipping through the channels and I heard a familiar song, I admit I flipped past it at first but went back and listened, reminiscing. It was their song, "The Sun Always Shines on TV." I thought to myself, "Ohh wow, this is a really great song! I haven't heard this one in years, they really had some awesome music. I should look them up". So that's what I did when I went home. I went on YouTube and typed in Scoundrel Days, one of the other songs I remembered, that I really loved and wanted to hear. It was just as awesome as I remembered. I figured I would get the album cover or a pic of them and the audio of the song, which is what I got. I did this for about 15-20 minutes, listening to all the great songs I remembered. Then here on the sidebar other things started showing up with much newer dates, ones that looked like actual videos, live performances. I admit I was nervous to click on them because I wasn't sure what I would find but then there was one that was the most recent date I had seen so far- 2015?!?! I had to take the chance and click on it. What I saw blew me away! I almost fell out of my chair when I saw how gorgeous he still was, how awesome he sounded after all these years. So I went on a mission to find out everything I could. I read Wikipedia, I searched Google, I watched YouTube videos of old interviews, concerts, etc. I joined Facebook Fan pages, I did it all. I even bought quite a few CD's and DVD's too. Turns out they had never dropped off the face of the earth, they just did here in the US, they have been around all these years in Europe and the rest of the world. They did break up in 2010 but got back together in 2015. I was so happy to find out they were still around but so bummed that I missed out all these years. I have since seen them twice in Concert, to show my obsession the 1st one was in 2019 in Paris and the 2nd was in 2022 in LA

I have seen phish close to 200 times. I’m just saw 2 of their 7 shows at Madison Square Garden last week with 30 friends.

Not currently, but back in the day I was a massive U2 fan. I used to have a long mullet just like Bono's. War is still my favorite all-time album.

I was teasing a friend of mine, who also loves Phish about how many shows that he had seen. He looked at me and said “Jimmy Buffett “ and I said point taken.

My favorite band ever is Oing Boingo, fronted by Danny Elfman. It was the only band I ever really chased after every album and even some rare stuff and outtakes and such. I'm just a big fan. There are some others that I like a lot and have most albums, but not necessarily complete collections.

We all have our favourite bands! Mine is Green Day. I've been following them for years.

I love Air! I heard some Zero 7 stuff but not much.

My first Air album was 10,000 Hz Legend, then jumped into Moon Safari immediately afterwards.

I love both bands. Something that I have discovered is that certain music, downtempo electronica in particular, is particularly good on high quality sound systems. Those producers have gone beyond the normal calculus of sound design to create these elaborate audio landscapes that are missed by a lot of people. It's not just background music, it's a whole mood/event. Massive Attack is a band I absolutely have never been able to get enough of.
