On our December trip we were walking past a hedge outside a building in Fantasyland and my husband stopped because he thought he heard something. We bent down and a little voice in the hedge said something like "Help! Get me out of here!"
I can't quite remember where exactly this was. I think it was maybe somewhere near one of the entrances to Fantasyland, either coming from Liberty Square or somewhere near the entrance by the castle. Or it was near one of the Fantasyland restaurants?
Has anyone else heard this and where was it?
There were not many people around when we heard it and the voice was very quiet, so I doubt you would even notice it at all when there's lots of other people and noise around you.
Or have you noticed any other voices talking to you from strange places?
I read that there are 2 talking bushes called Herb and Flora on the way to Camp Minnie-Mickey in Animal Kingdom. At various times during the day they apparently talk to people (and they gossip to each other about people!) I forgot to look for them when we went, so was wondering if they are still there?
Also in December we were the first people on Splash Mountain one day. No one was rushing to it because I suppose they didn't want to get wet first thing on a December morning. But I must say how enjoyable it was with nobody behind us talking and yelling, because you could really HEAR what the various animals were actually saying. It really made the ride SO much more enjoyable.
We also went into the roped-off outside queue area and listened closely to the birds talking and singing away in their little houses.
Sometimes we have repeated various attractions expressly because other people ruined them by talking or screaming all the time.
I fully understand that children do get excited and some talking is to be expected I suppose, but why don't ADULTS realise that YOU MISS SO MUCH OF THE MAGIC AND SOUND EFFECTS in an attraction if you don't be quiet and just listen and watch? Plus the fact that you are ruining it for other guests.
Not to mention the pre-shows. When we were at Universal Studios we had to endure a guy on his cellphone making dinner reservations during the pre-show of "ET". Don't people understand that a pre-show is PART OF THE ATTRACTION? The idea is to listen to Steven Spielberg as he explains things to you.
We also had a woman talking LOUDLY about totally inane things all the way through the pre-show of "Jimmy Neutron". Some people just don't get the concept of a pre-show.
You can have your discussions about where you are eating dinner and how you can hear the toilet flushing in the room above you etc etc BEFORE or AFTER you experience an attraction. And do turn the cellphone off!!
I just don't understand people sometimes!!
