I feel like an old fuddy duddy, but I don't text unless I have to. I don't pay for texting on my line, so I get charged when someone texts me. Of course, that means, I get MAD when someone texts me.:headache:

Anyone else not text? I feel like I can call someone and tell them something much quicker than I can push a bunch of tiny keys.

ITA, Absolutely!

We have a family texting plan. I don't text but my kids make up for my slack.:lmao: My husband trys to engage me but I'm too smart for that and just pick up the phone and call him. I have a great texting phone so my kids tell me! Maybe at some point but probably not.:rotfl:

Yep same here I just call them or go see them.

We use e-mail & stuff for my work but no texting

Ron.

No, I don't text. I believe in talking. If I can't talk somewhere, I probably shouldn't be texting either. If you think people don't notice, they do and it's rude.

You're not alone. I have never texted in my life. Not sure I would even know how if I needed to. Glad to know I'm not alone! ;)

I am so sick of hearing the clicking of the keys as they text and the noise of it when they get a text. Oh, and how when you are talking with someone and they send or receive a text. :headache:

I am the same way. I would get charged for text messages coming and going so I set my phone to not accept them at all.

I don't text either. A few years ago, a family member would text me and send a cute picture of my neice(and to several other family members), then what followed was about 5 more of the same text from all the other family members who got the same picture... Yeah its cute, but I just got charged 6 times for that same text!

Since I didn't have a need for texting, I called ATT and had texting blocked. Which is great, now I don't have to pay for all those incoming texts, and now I can't accidently go online or send texts with my phone.

there are times when I wished I had a texting plan, but really, its not worth the cost for us.

I think if we had teenagers or kids, we'd probably have a texting plan though.

ME! I don't text, I don't do twitter, I don't do MySpace or Facebook and even though I am still in my 20s, not doing these things makes me feel old. Growing up, I was always the first person, that I knew, to do anything involving technology. We got our first PC when I was 13 or 14 and no one I knew had one. We were the first people I knew to have a laptop. I was chatting on forums before my friends even knew what they were. I was booking flights around the country online and it astounded my friends that I didn't have to go through a travel agent and still got awesome deals. That I could just get online and do it all without calling anyone. But I liked all those things and I just don't want to text, tweet or create a MySpace page. Maybe I am just gettng old :confused3

I don't text, don't even know how to and have no intrest in learning, I think the cell phone is a pain, only have it for emergency! I'm old school, the more important you are the harder it is to get a hold of you!

Me, no texting here because it's tedious. I suppose I will have no choice soon because my kids ONLY text, but I will not be happy about it.

Same here. The way I look at it, my phone is for talking and my email is for messages.

I have muddled through once or twice to respond to a text from someone else, but it takes forever and isn't worth it to me.

And people will just stop in the middle of a conversation to take a text and respond. I think that's as rude as answering the phone.

DS15 has texting, although he doesn't use it much at this point. I have the data blocked on both our phones, so no picture messaging or internet. I guess I am not the only one who has accidently gone online. Once I got charged for 30 hours continuous use with a tiny little flip phone. I didn't even know it COULD GO online! Luckily, they took the charges off.

Maybe I should have texting blocked altogether.

I do Facebook, but it is mostly to spy on my ex for his second ex-wife, LOL. It makes me so happy to be divorces when I read his drama, LOL.

It's good to know I am not alone.:goodvibes

No texting for me either. Does not make that much sense to me. Talk already.:lmao:

No interest in texting; Facebook; Twittering; or any of that stuff.. Somehow I manage to get along just fine without it.. LOL..

I don't text. I plan to start in a year and a half. :cutie: (Wouldn't want to rush anything you know!) My oldest got a phone at 16 and I pay $5 a month for him to get limited texting. He usually uses less than half of his allotment. My younger son will get a phone at 16 about the same time my older son goes to college. At that time we'll get texting for the whole family. I'll learn to text if it will help me stay in close contact with my son when he goes!

I don't text and I'm so cheap about it I had Verizon block it on my line so I didn't get charged when people text me.

I get really annoyed when I see people texting EVERYWHERE. I probably shouldn't be annoyed by it, but it just bugs me, people constantly exercising their thumbs.
