JUst wondering if there is anyone else like me who enjoys riding the buses? I've always had a car but always choose to ride the bus with my family. I like waiting for the bus and watching the faces of the people on them. The only time we use the car is to go to the Boardwalk at night or to Universal. Riding the buses is part of the magic.

I grew up in Chicago ... riding the buses. There is absolutley no magic in it for me. I drive everywhere but the Magic Kingdom.

I can't drive, so I appreciate a good bus system. On our last trip, the buses were fine.....except after closing. Yikes! Then it got interesting.

On our first day, we headed to MK. Our bus driver was a hoot! He got on the PA system and started entertaining us. Then he started leading us in singing of Disney songs. He said if you didn't sing, he wasn't gonna let you off. What a fun ride! Everyone was singing and laughing....:) I hope that guy's still there. Maybe they could clone him!

I don't mind riding the bus except the last trip in April, the bus picked us at the MP and was suppose to be going to OKW when we got to the West side the driver told us he made a mistake and had put the wrong resort up on the bus marque, he was going to the Boardwalk, so he made us get off and wait for the OKW bus!! There were a lot of upset people, and they sure let the OKW bus driver know about it! I think the buses can be fun when you get a fun driver, but unfortunately most of the drivers we have had are not fun and you are lucky if you can get a Hello out of some of them!!!

We've had some great bus drivers. We had one who could of done stand-up comedy (maybe he did). Another one was quite a singer and had the whole bus singing along with him.

I enjoy meeting people and finding out where they are from. I'm not a big traveler and I can meet people from all over the world at Disney.

On the other hand we've had some bad drivers. Some drivers should of had their license revoked!

However, I do prefer riding the busses. 99% of the time I feel safe and entertained.

I always prefer the buses. We drive our car to WDW, but once it's in the resort parking lot, we don't move it. It's so easy to not have to worry about getting lost or losing the car in the parking lot. We can also look over the map and plan our first few rides on the way there.

I think most of the time it takes about the same amount of time with the bus, and your sitting the whole time instead of walking from the parking lot to the gate. You also never have to sit in a hot car.

THANK YOU for posting this i feel the same way . never bothers us to have to wait for a bus. its one of the thing we love about a disney vacation nobody has to drive!! its okay to have a beer or some wine with dinner or at PI somebody else is driving and i don't have to find a parking space!!:p :p  i have to say i was beginning to think i was the only one who doesn't mind waiting for buses

We certainly wont mind when going back to Wilderness Lodge after the Hoop De Doo. Just in case we indulge.

Nope! We don't mind the buses either. It is just part of a Disney vacation. When we fly we don't rent a car except for one shopping day. When we drive we park it unless we are going off property to shop at the outlet stores.

I don't mind riding the bus. I like not having to fight the traffic. I don't enjoy waiting for the bus. It does have drawbacks like trying to get on a bus at MK right after the fireworks, but I still think it is worth it.

I have to drive in traffic and hunt for a parking space everyday. Not having to drive makes it a better Vacation for Dad (me).

we almost always take the auto train to Florida (my sister usually comes along and won't fly) so we have our car. we drive to Fort Wilderness since we love to eat at Trail's End but other than that save the car for places like Kennedy Space Center or Sea World. I also enjoy to people watch on the buses. we also have chatted with some really nice people along the way ....

Since DH and I use public transportation a lot, we do appreciate on time, courteous, drivers.. and a good system.

We stay at the All Stars, and have never had a problem leaving or waiting for a bus...

DH LOVES the bus system at Disney. He's almost always the one doing the driving at home, and he finds our Disney time completely relaxing. And yes it is nice to be able to have a few drinks without having to be the least bit concerned! We always stay at the CBR and their bus system is great! On rare occasions we also grab a taxi as well (like heading back to CBR from another resort or from Fantasia Miniature golf)
