Anyone else just back notice this?

We were there last week (3/17 to 3/22) and noticed that RnR was down a LOT. My sis, BIL, and nieces said it was down on 3/17; it was down on 3/20 in the afternoon when we went to ride. On our last day (3/22), we were greeted by a sign saying Rnr would be closed at 5pm. We ran over and rode it (around noonish), went to ToT and rode, and by the time we were off ToT, RnR was closed again! Last March we never got on it either.
Anyone know what's going on with it?

ToT also broke down when we were on it - just one side. It was actually a really funny experience..broke down right before we "clicked" into the shaft for the drop. All the lights came on, and we were all eventually evacuated...but we all bonded on the elevator, and most of us went down and rode the other side all together (same seats). Lost a little of the magic for the ride, though - because we had to walk back through the "set" to the elevator (won't spoil the effects for anyone else) - but we all had many laughs together.

All in all, it was a great vacation, but was just wondering what was going on with RnR....

That stinks that ToT broke down but it's also pretty cool that you got to go behind-the-scenes! I consider ToT to be one of the most well done attractions at WDW.

We were there the end of Feb. and everything was running fine. It is really disappointing when a ride breaks down while you're on it. Buzz Lightyear broke down for a few minutes on us and we all lost our scores!

It was strange, but I think we had a better time on ToT when it broke down. Working, it is definitely our fav at WDW, but we were stuck for atleast 15 minutes, and it was really funny. One girl called a friend on her phone, took pictures (of each other), there were so many jokes. There were several of us from New England who where Red Sox fans, and the first two people who came up were two mechanics - one of which had on a Yankee hat. Someone started to boo the Yankee hat, and I joked "he's never going to fix it now!" ...jokingly someone starting singing Kumbuya....we all just laughed a lot! Finally, after several annoucements (One of which was that they were going to power down the ride and power back up!-we figured that meant we were going to end up like the family in the elevator at the start of the ride!), two bellhops came up, and got us off. We were able to go right down to the loading area, and go right back on the ride (on the other side of the ride that was working). Everyone said "Same seats" - and we cracked up riding the second time, just waiting to see if we'd actually make it through the entire ride. The bellhop who loaded us in the 2nd time joked "This is it! If you break this side of the ride, you can't come back!" I think the mechanic said that the reason for the breakdown was something with an elevator behind us.

All in all, one of the more memorable moments at WDW.

That sounds fun! Isn't it great how WDW can be fun even if things aren't working out as planned! That's one of the reasons we keep going back.

We were there on the 17th also, and by the time we made it around there it was closed down, my kids were very disappointed to say the least
