I just got my package today, but I can't access the web site yet to see what rewards and point values are...

Can anyone give me a head's up?

Thanks!

I'm usually just a lurker here, but i can tell you that it takes a couple of days to get your info in the system. I like shoppers hotline, it real easy to do and they are quick to send your redemptions.I already cashed in once and it came in a week! Oh, btw, you have to send in that little registration card that came with your package or they will disenroll you after a while. Good Luck!

I joined a few months ago. So far I have no complaints about them. Do not hesitate to call them with questions or concerns. I have found them to be very helpful. Remember the more you use the scanner the quicker your points will add up. I can't wait to cash out for that $25 American Exp Ck! Good luck.

I was reading the number of points you get for scanning, bonus points for doing it more every month, etc. What I'm wondering about is how many points does it take to redeem? For example, how many points for a $10 or $25 American Express Check?

I think it looks like fun really, and I have a phone jack in my kitchen - the unit is already set up and ready to go.

Thanks for any info - please feel free to PM me, if you like.

Here are a few examples of what you can cash out for:
250 pts - one Blockbuster rental
290 pts- one movie pass - AMC or Carmike Cinemas
330 pts - $5 GC (Burger King, Red Lobster, Toys R Us, Target)
600 pts - $10 GC
1375 pts - $25 GC (Amex Express Gift ck,Home Depot, JC Penney,
Kmart, Old Navy, Sears, Red Lobster, Walmartand a few more)
2625 pts - $50 GC - same as above.

There are of course other pts limits in between what I gave you. I hope this gives you some idea of what you can cash out for.

My goal is the Amex Express Gift ck as you can use those as cash.

Have fun scanning!

Thanks so much, that's exactly what I was looking for!! I was going to do the program regardless of the redemption levels because it looks like fun! But knowing what I'm working towards just makes it that much more fun!

DisneyFan0304 - I took this off their website.

Shoppers’ Hotline is the consumer research panel of Information Resources Inc., the nation’s premier marketing research firm based in Chicago. We recruit shoppers (also known as “panelists”) to record what they purchase and where. By participating in Shoppers’ Hotline, panelists influence manufacturers by providing purchasing and demographic data.

Once you sign up they send you a little hand held scanner and they ask that you scan the barcodes on all the purchases you make. They also ask you to scan any coupons you may use that week. It took me a bit to catch on (I can be a slow learner at times). Any questions I did have I just called their 800# and they were very helpful.

How do you get the points and how fast do they add up? I think I might interested in this program.

I have been doing this for a month, not faithful with the coupons and I don't always remember the "small" grocery trips. I received my statement yesterday and I have 230 points. I'm also working for the AMEX $25.00 since it spends like cash whereever!
I have a question though-what is the RX Pulse portion of this? Anyone done this?
When I checked on the website my total was 335-the letter I got in the mail was printed 12/11 and didn't have the past few weeks activity on it.

Maryann you're really on the ball today;) What was I thinking?
Anyway I went to the website and to answer my own question as well as anyone else interested--it is indeed for prescriptions LOL. However you log onto a different website with your shopper's hotline log on and password and you gain 5 points per prescription or sample you receive during any week. You should also log in to record when you have no prescriptions in a given week. I guess it could add up to a few more points for some of us.

Thanks for the information. It sounds neat! Is it only for grocery purchases, or is it for anything you buy?

Anything that I bring home with a bar code and receipt is what I scan. I am sure others use it for other purchases such as prescriptions. I am sure I don't utilize it to the fullest but I do my best. You can use it for groceries, specialty stores, drug stores, discount stores, hardware stores, etc....The scanner supplies you with a list of store types to choose from. You pick the store type and scan away! Over a course of using the scanner it will remember the location of the store you normally shop at and will ask you to verify the location. It's pretty kewl how it all works.

I have a question though-what is the RX Pulse portion of this? Anyone done this?

They send you a booklet for this. Every week you can get points. If you don't have any prescriptions there is a barcode to scan.

If you do get a prescription there is an entire process in the book to record it (what drug, what dosage, where bought, refill or not). But I think you get an extra 5 points a week for doing it.

Just thought I'd check before I join in. Thanks!

I went ahead and applied for this and it said I would get a phone call to be interviewed. How long did it take for someone to call? What kinds of things did they ask?

If I recall correctly I signed up in the morning and that night I got a phone call. They asked me questions such as spending habits, how often I may grocery shop, if I felt I would have the time to scan items, If I had children or pets. I bet the interview took a good 15-20 minutes.
