Don't know if I'm buying the hiatal hernia story. I'm a nurse, I know about the pain, etc. I also know the chances we're hearing the real story are slim. Charlie's handlers & family are going to continue to protect him. Unfortunately, it seems to continue to enable him.

Cocaine causes increased & irregular heart rates & elevated blood pressure. If he really did that much coke, I'm surprized he didn't have a heart attack.

I guess Denise must love him tho. She does seem to keep being there for him, no matter what. Sad for his kids to have to deal with a dad who is so messed up.

You know, this whole thing makes me think about how so many posters (here and other boards) have in their signatures, some variation on "Life's journey is not to arrive at the grave safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, totally worn out, shouting, holy sh*t, what a ride!" Do those people realize they are recommending the Charlie Sheen lifestyle?

I always took it to mean you shouldn't sit on the couch and let life pass you by. I don't really think they are promoting promiscuity and drug addiction

Here is the full text from a story now on People.com; according to his friends, he doesn't see how his behavior is a problem.

He's home now, but as questions arise as to what led to Charlie Sheen's hospitalization Thursday with what were described as abdominal pains, a friend of the Two and a Half Men star tells PEOPLE: "He definitely did not OD but, yes, he was partying."

The friend adds: "He doesn't think he's going to die. He doesn't want to stop. In his eyes, he thinks, 'I'm having fun, so what? I'm making $2 million a week, the show has the best ratings, I show up for up work. What's the problem?' "

The actor, 45, was taken by ambulance to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center, where his parents Martin and Janet Sheen soon arrived. On Friday morning, the actor's rep told PEOPLE: "Charlie Sheen left the hospital last night and is at home. He will be on the set of Two and a Half Men on Tuesday."

Concerned Friends"He's got so many people saying they're concerned and they have the power to help him but you can't force things on someone, you can't make him get help," says the friend.

"He loves the attention, he loves to shock people, he loves that he gets away with all of this. And he can because there are no consequences – that's the problem. It's who he is, like it or leave it. Maybe at 22, you're with five hookers, so what? But when you're his age and a father, it's just ridiculous."

Another friend tells PEOPLE: "He's in serious condition. Doctors are still trying to figure out exactly what it was. They're running a lot of blood tests. … The crazy thing is, he'll probably be just fine. It's part of why he doesn't see the problem."

This friend adds: "People are rallying around him to intervene. Everyone is very concerned for him at this point. It's a really scary situation. Nobody is surprised. This is an ongoing problem."

RDJ getting sober and successful again is the worst thing that ever happened to other addicts. "Look, Downey did it - he turned his life around." I'm sure Lindsay and Charlie hate Robert's guts!

This is the funniest thread I have seen in a while. Don't get me wrong I love charlie as an actor, i find him amusing and talented and recently got hooked on 2.5 men, but yeah its crazy how he is his character. He really needs to slow down. and wow i cant believe he makes $2mil a week!!!!

Charlie Sheen voluntarily entered an undisclosed rehabilitation center today after being rushed to a hospital with "severe abdominal pains" Thursday, his publicist said.

The publicist, Stan Rosenfield, told ABC News that Sheen is "most grateful to all who have expressed their concern."

The latest developments put production of Sheen's hit TV sitcom, "Two and a Half Men," on hold temporarily, network officials said.

"Due to Charlie Sheen's decision to enter a rehabilitation center, CBS, Warner Bros. Television and executive producer Chuck Lorre are placing "Two and a Half Men" on production hiatus," an official statement said. "We are profoundly concerned for his health and well-being, and support his decision."

Yeah...not surprised. He is currently in the same hospital where I am a admitted right now.

I got a good laugh when I read where he was taken. Whenever I read LA hospital and a celebrity, its fairly safe to assume Cedars.

This place is never dull!!

The ER was probably crazy and the hospital is fairly full. They were out of medical beds yesterday (but not monitored beds).

One thing I don't get though. I watch 2 1/2 Men for the one-liners and every time they show him with a woman all I can think about is how awkward he looks, his kisses look awful. I mean with all the practice shouldn't he LOOK like he knows what he's doing Most tomcats can bring it to the screen, Russel Crow comes to mind. I don't get it... my pancakes have more sizzle.
