Anyone else having trouble booking today?

Hey all,

So I managed to make a reservation this morning around 8:30PST and was able to use borrowed 2023 points. About a hour later, and I tried to make a second reservation but the booking engine has been broken ever since. I get to the screen where I can choose the contract order, and enter the borrowed 2023 points, click on Next and then get the Dwarfs 'Working on it' screen.

Is anyone else having an issue? I know Disney IT isn't reliable, but I wanted to ask if anyone was having issue or is there something on my end I can do?

Obviously with Member services being offline today for the Holiday, the website is the only way to book things. It's so frustrating!

I couldn't make a reservation for 2 people. Logged out, then back in and was able to make the same reservation for 1 person. I will add other person later. This has happened the last 3 reservations I have made.

Dang - thats so annoying. Thanks for your work around tip, I tried and I didn't work for me just now. I suppose I get to keep trying throughout the day.

Are you trying to borrow again? There are reports that some accounts can only borrow once and the next time they try, it errors out and you must call MS.

So I am borrowing again but they are two separate resorts/contracts.

I did a reservation for VGC and this time booking Aulani - The VGC went through early this morning and then trying to do an Aulani I'm borrowing some points from 2023.

Surely that couldn't be the reason for the Dwarfs?!

It could. Since the borrowing restriction went into place people have difficulty with borrowing and it’s inconsistent.

It has impacted resale contracts more than direct but some owners even had trouble with those.

So, it’s very possible it’s because your account is impacted in some way

Having same problem, trying to book a quick trip this summer for my daughter and keep getting the dreaded "Working on it" screen. We are borrowing for this one but have not borrowed yet this year. I hate to think I will have to call member services to book, and wait for hours on the phone.

Unfortunately, the borrowing situation for many owners is a huge issue. It’s been reported so many times but I don’t think they can figure a way to fix it…

I think that’s my course of action in the morning. Try to book via member services

Try the chat feature on the DVC website instead of calling. I was told by a cast member that I kept getting the dwarves message because of borrowing problems for resale owners. They booked the 2nd reservation I wanted in about 15 minutes from start to finish.

It's super frustrating because we're really hoping to modify into BLT & it was available all day yesterday, all night, and this morning but I kept getting the error message. This morning I called at 9:00 &, of course, it was gone by the time a CM answered. She informed me that resale contract reservations that require borrowing need to call to modify, this modification will require me to borrow 2 points.
I'm also waitlisted for it, so I'm not sure why I wouldn't have gotten it via the waitlist.

I wonder if it did not get picked it up yesterday because MS was closed. But did you ask if the waitlist had filled?

Also, if you tried to book it and it errored out, the system may have still held it for about 20 minutes or so. If you had called MS during that time, it could be why it didn’t show,

This happened to me just last week. I got an error message when modifying a night…no borrowed points involved…and when I did chat right after, they mentioned that. But, fortunately, it was there when the CM checked and I got my RIV night.

Update to my post: I tried MS chat & they were able to modify for me, no issues! YAY!

Yes- super super slow today. But I was eventually able to modify a current reservation to fill my own waitlist request. (Stalking does seem to work better than waitlisting sometimes.)

I had no issues modifying a reservation at 1a Pacific/4a Eastern. I did not need to borrow.
I suspect some of the slow loading and issues are related to the volume of traffic on their site.

Whats up with AKJH today? No standard studios for Dec 3 (11 months) ..... availablity at 11 months at virually every other resort ... something I am missing?

AKV, especially Jambo, seems to have had more than it’s share of inventory ‘anomalies‘ through the years.
Sometime today I plan to add the last couple of days to our 12/22 trip, I’m not looking forward to dealing w/ the DVC member website
