Anyone else have a problem with Smartpop Popcorn?

I just tried to eat a bag of Orville Redenbacher's Smartpop microwave popcorn and had the strangest thing happen. My teeth started sticking to the sides of my mouth and the taste was terrible. I actually had to brush my teeth to keep them from sticking, just rinsing with water did not help. I have eaten this type of popcorn for years and never had this happen. I thought it was maybe a bad bag so tried another and the same thing happened.

Has anyone else noticed this? I am wondering if they have changed things.

Just wanted to add my version of *smart pop* popcorn. Me putting kernels into a paper bag and voila. No sarcasm, just sharing. . I do it that way because I just prefer to be able to have it the way I want it.

I still put some butter on it, but I know it's actually butter.

I hate that brand.

I've been getting the Pop Secret 100 cal bags. I think they're much better for a quick fix. I have a popcorn machine but when it's just me I make those.

Asta, I've done it for years. A roommate used to do it all the time in university because she was nuts about extra fat content and back then it was hard to get it natural. So I took it on. But I do want to add that a midsize brown bag is best and double folded. Also, one time one caught on fire. One in years and years; but I thought I better put it out there.

I suppose it would be much easier to use an air popper but I live very small and simply don't have space for it.

I don't know if any of your supermarkets carry our Canadian brand, President's Choice. But their Blue Menu products include a great plain, natural popcorn.
