Anyone Else Going Out of Town Next Week?

Are you going out of town or staying home for the 4th? I'm going to the coast!

We leave for our family beachhouse on the West coast of Florida on Sat. We will stay 2 weeks. Spending the 4th on the beach is the best!

We're staying home. I'm working 11-4 Monday, and 8:30-5:30 on the 4th. My mom and stepdad will probably host some neighborhood cookout at our house IF the sun comes out (with the weather we've had lately I'm not counting on that) on the 4th, but obviously I won't be there.

Yeah,It's the same old story.Last year I had the money to go out of town for the 4th and no time.And this year I have four days off for the holiday weekend and no money.

We are going to be spending the 4th in our nation's capitol! We are getting pretty excited about it, although I have a feeling it will be crowds like we have never seen before in our lives!!!!

DH will be there for work, so DD12 and I are tagging along for a 2 week vacation. DH won't be working on the 4th, but was told he could go to the office building he will be working at that evening to enjoy the fireworks from the roof.

Yep, leave Saturday to go to Mexico Beach, FL for a week. Go every year this same week. We can't wait!!

Nope ~ we're actually hoping to have a BBQ at our new house! They keep pushing our closing date and we definitely can't leave town or it will never get done, LOL.

We'll be heading to our lake cabin. We love to spend the 4th at the lake. Everyone decorates their boats in red, white and blue. The Air Force does a flyby over the lake at dusk which is followed by a fabulous fireworks show. The flyby takes your breath away and echos all over the whole lake!

I just love the Fourth-it's my favorite non-religous holiday. I always wonder if our forefathers ever envisioned the country they founded would last this long and be a beacon of light to all those in the world who cherish freedom.

We are going camping Saturday thru Tuesday to Astoria, Oregon. Astoria is where Lewis and Clark finally reached the Pacific Ocean.

We are having a pool party at our new house for the 4th then leave for Nags Head on Friday for 9 days.

We rented a house on Lake Tahoe and it has a dock, so we rented a ski boat too. I've never driven a boat though. I'm hoping at the end of the week I will not have purchased a dented boat and new boat dock.
